First visit

First visit for us and we will be back. The food was very good. I had the uptown. Falafel sandwich, wonderful! We like to try new places, other than chains. The staff was also very friendly. Thanks 😁

who thought sandwiches would evoke the spirit of new Orleans. here we have it. my only complaint is the bread that would remind you of the subway franchise, complete with the little dots on the underside. one more gripe would be the shredded iceberg lettuce: similar to what we all remember from the cafeteria at school. po boys owners; please... This is the one place I am sure to visit when in Portland. Having lived in Louisiana I can tell you that they have Po'Boy down. I had my favourite, the oyster po'boy and it was great. I also bought a frozen gumbo to go for later. Can't beat this place.

We consistently split the large Peacemaker - half shrimp and half oyster - with a bowl of gumbo, and coconut macaroons for dessert. The food is consistently good - with an authentic Louisiana taste and an atmosphere that transports us to New Orleans.

We went in starving and left so full and happy. The po'boys were great, even so far from New Orleans! I would recommend they switch from vertically cut frickles to horizontally cut frickles, but any place with fried pickles is okay with us!

The restaurant is actually really nice, with a courteous friendly staff and good food. Its uniqueness in the Greater Portland area draws a lot of people here for Cajun sandwiches. However, for $13 for a large sandwich in the Portland area, I wasn't particularly blown away by the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, it was a very... More

My husband and I have eaten here twice. We have tried the gumbo, sausage po'boy, muffeletta, and fried shrimp po' boy. The gumbo was just so-so, but the sandwiches were excellent. A really nice treat from the south on a winter day in Maine! Service is excellent and short wait times. Cost is very reasonable. Parking can be a problem... More

Okay, I know, my title is not the most pleasant one, But went in here with my girlfriend knowing it was a sandwich shop, and getting her to agree to a sandwich is like getting the Vatican to agree the Big Bang Theory has merit. I order the Pulled Pork, She orders the Golden Fried Fish. Mine was spot on,... More

Got take out from this place. The reuben was delicious. The jerk chicken wings were amazing. Be careful don't confuse the "ginger soda" with "gingale" I would defiantly come back.
