We had an excellent dinner at Paciarino on July 10th - both the food and service were perfect. Both salad and pasta were flavorful and fresh.

After 5 days on the Maine coast we needed a break from steamers and lobster so we headed to this restaurant which was recommended by our hotel. The atmosphere was very friendly and the staff and owner with whom we chatted were very gracious and welcoming. The food was simple Italian fare prepared with fresh ingredients which included some really... More

My family and I stumbled upon this place on a day trip to Portland. It was July 3, a Friday night and we did n't have reservations. They graciously accommodated us for which we were grateful. Paciarino is a warm, cozy place. Everything is fresh--bread with olive oil, salads and their pasta dishes.

If the title doesn't tell you how I feel about Paciarino...well...there's really not much else to say. Lunch this week - it's either that or dinner - was, as always, perfect. Lauren was our server this time - and she was lovely! and spot-on - and lunch for me and two friends (including one from Italy) had Lauren bring back... More

I've been here a few times and have enjoyed my dishes every time. They accommodate dietary restrictions and I was able to have a lobster/wine sauce and gluten free pasta. My favorite dish before gluten free was a goat cheese ravioli. My husband enjoys their red sauce dishes. Only drawback is it is a little pricey but good quality and... More

I dined at Paciarino Memorial Day weekend with my Mom and was very impressed! The service, quality and taste were beyond what I was expecting. Our waitress was chipper and attentive and the food was served at a moderate pace which was fine for us that evening. The location of the restaurant is easy to find right on Fore Street,... More

Just an outstanding meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. The bolognese was so good that our homemade sauce will never be the same. Four diners, each with a different dish and we were all wowed. Kind of a short menu, but who cares? Will definitely return the next time we're in Portland.

Eating here made my wife and I feel as if we were back in a small osteria in Italy. The place is small — paciarino is Italian for cozy — and while the noise level might be a bit high everything else was spot on. Although we arrived a half hour early and the restaurant nearly full we were seated... More

Returned with my wife for lunch after being away from Maine for six months and found that this is still a very nice little restaurant. The decor is simple, but attractive and comfortable. The food is all made in-house - pastas, simple delicious sauces, and wonderful bread. The service is friendly, efficient, and charming. Our server, Leah, worked as hostess,... More

Freshly baked bread and farm fresh salads make for a good start. The homemade pasta dishes here are excellent. I had lobster tagliatelle and my wife had the Porcini stuffed ravioli, both were superb. Add in a good bottle of wine, and you have a great meal. The service was top notch. The atmosphere was cozy but not cramped; busy... More
