Great place for pasta

Visited this spot on my first visit to Portland. Had a great ravioli dish. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The wine list was modest but nice and fairly priced. The only thing that keeps me from giving a max rating is the lack of entries that did not contain pasta. Not a problem for me but... read more

Real Italian food. Recommended by tour guide who takes his family there.. I had the special which was chopped Haddock and Maine shrimp over pasta.

...have I consistently had such incredibly delicious Italian food outside of Italy (The Ghost Writer has it right!) as I have at Paciarino. Each and every time. Oh, and the service? Never, ever, less than stellar. When I want authentic Italian food - in an inviting authentic atmosphere - served by people who genuinely care and, above all, owned by... More

My husband, son and I ate here recently on a Sunday. Because I loathe waiting in line, we arrived here around 5:30 and sat down right away (we weren't the first diners, though!) Loved the setting in the vintage space and the decor. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The entrees were reasonably priced under $20. This is more of... More

If you've ever been to Italy, you will feel right at home in Paciarino. It reminds me of a restaurant we ate at near Sinalunga a couple of years ago where you might just as easily see a family with young children or a couple on a date. The pasta is made fresh daily (as is everything from what I... More

I liked the restaurant and its tagliolini bolognese. My wife was a bit overwhelmed by how really spicy the fusilli and tuna with red peppers in tomato sauce was; there could have been a warning. Stephanie our server was polite and knowledgeable, attentive without being invasive.

When I can come here. I have been to Italy several times and when I long for an authentically cooked, prepared, and served Italian meal I (we, as it's usually my wife and I..,possibly with some family or friends) come here and it has never ever been less than outstanding (and I've been coming here since day 1 - OK,... With no reservations on a Monday night, we got the best table in the house! After stopping in several other places that had two hour waits, we were very happy to stumble in to this place. We started with the Italian salad which was big enough to split. We then ordered two of the ravioli dishes. Handmade fresh ravioli -... More

Expected a nice dinner from all the reviews. The bread served was saturated in olive oil, the "sampling of fine salute" was a plate of one deli salami that our less than cheerful waitperson said "was all they served" and the Bolognese was dull. To add to the lovely evening, at 8:15 the lights were turned up a la Friendly's.... More

Wonderful place with charm and hand made pasta and sauces from an Italian chef. Make a booking as very hard to get into.
