A nice way to end the evening

Nice dessert (chocolate bourbon and pecan cake to share) and a tasty Irish coffee martini and glass of Oban to cap off our night. I was wishing that there was a fireplace, but that was only because it was snowing. There were comfy chairs and the service was attentive.

It's February, cold and snowy, looking for something warm and cozy at the Chocolate Bar. Well the place was chilly, kept our coats on as did others. The service was friendly; but slow, maybe laid back. The drinks were expensive and except for the outstanding hot chocolate were so so. The menu be it small plates or dessert is limited.... More

I wish I could review this place since the drinks looked great, sadly our party was treated so poorly we left. We were celebrating a Birthday and were looking forward to ordering something sweet. Unfortunately even though there was hardly anyone in the place we couldn't get service. There was a group of 5 of us, too big for the... More

Had this on our list from our Trip Advisor research. Stopped here late at night. Ordered a coffee chocolate martini. I don't normally drink martinis but since this was recommended I gave it a try. WOW! So delicious. The bartender was very friendly. Seating was very comfortable. Location right in the center of things. Highly recommend.

This was our dessert stop and the martinis are just plain awesome! They have quite the selection of martinis along with light snack food. The cheese cakes, cakes and other desserts are made by the owner daily. This is a must stop if you like flavored martinis.

Chanced upon this place & so glad I walked in! Martinis are the bomb! Dominique the bar lady is awesome & makes the best Martinis! So delicious & dessert options are fantastic! Caters to the gluten-free crowd.

We drove to Portland for the day and just wanted a coffee (so we thought) and someone told us about this place. We loved how cozy it was on a cold wet day. We ended up ordering martinis and snacks. We had the cucumber sandwiches, potstickers, nuts and cheese and bread and olive oil. Everything was great. We didn't want... More

The Bar of Chocolate was an awesome addition to the many cool spots in Portland Maine! Kevin the bartender kept us entertained and made some of the best drinks on record! When in Miane we will return!

We spent a night in Portland bar hopping and came here after dinner. I had the peanut butter martini and wife had the Irish coffee martini. I tried my wife's and it was really good. Great coffee flavor, not too strong tasting. But for mine, the peanut butter martini, I was floored. I don't typically order martinis, usually beer or... More
