Great Breakfast

I'd walk a mile for their grits!! It's absolutely the best I have ever had, and I grew up in the south. Although I've not yet been there for supper, the breakfast, brunch, and lunches are great. At this time of year, I prefer to eat outdoors in the patio. Peaceful and pleasant. The staff here is wonderful.

We went to Hot Suppa for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Great service, very good food (loved the oyster po boy - the biggest one I've ever seen) and loved the special iced tea. Amazing value for Portland.

We visited for a birthday dinner. Hot Suppa! had long been on my bucket list of Portland restaurants to try out. We arrived before six o'clock so we still were able to take advantage of Happy Hour's $1 oysters and $1 off all drinks. The oysters were clean and beautiful, accompanied by a cocktail sauce that included fresh grated horseradish.... More

I was traveling for business and wanted to go somewhere good for breakfast instead of eating again at the hotel restaurant. I looked up nearby places on yelp and Hot Suppa! was ranked very high on the list so my coworker and I decided to try it out. The environment, service and food were excellent. I had an omelet with... Apart from having the best salmon bagel of my life in Hot Suppa, I was also very enthusiastic about the ambience and stunning service: I spent 2 nights in Portland during a road trip and, despite we wanted to try different places, we could not resist and went to Hot Suppa on both days for a late breakfast. I will... More

Went in for a lunch but not having had a big breakfast it was perfect. The Bloody Marys are over the top with a mixture of hot ingredients. Some could find them too hot but having a Southern taste I did enjoy it. Had the green fried tomato eggs Benedict with grits and a side of delicious bacon -- things... More

Everything was great at lunch yesterday. Mac and cheese is the best ever. The fries are perfectly cooked. I have tried Cuban sandwiches all over Florida and I can say I would rate this as my number one choice . Also we tried the fried green tomatoes and enjoyed and would order again. Ate outside in the back patio area... More

We tried this spot as a recommendation from our hotel staff. It is small, but pleasant, and it has street parking.....a plus in Portland. The appetizer of fried calamari was small, but well prepared...be careful of the hot peppers if you don't like heat...My house wine was good, especially since it was happy hour. My husband had the Cubano sandwich... More

Enjoyed brunch on a rainy Sunday morning. Busy, but worth the wait. They will even text you when your table is ready. Fantastic food, amazing fresh ingredients. Perfect cappuccino and morning cocktails. Servers were very efficient, super friendly. Lots of local artwork on the walls.
