Hot Suppa! Was one of the best meals I've had in ages! To start we had the special which was deep fried rice balls with a smokey sausage ragu. It was delightful. For our entrees I ordered the hen and dumplings and My husband ordered the cubano. The hen and dumplings was the star of the evening. It was a... More

Not sure what the hype is about. Asked for their most popular breakfast dish was and they said the corn beef hash. This was nothing special. This was average at best. The home fries were those cheap tasteless shredded potatoes. Again nothing special. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and the toast was very good. We also had their corn... More

Each time we visit Portland, we enjoy breakfast at Hot Suppa. It's a nice walk from our hotel. The corned beef hash is excellent. Grits are always a treat. The coffee is hot. Be prepared to wait for a table. There were only a couple of people in line ahead of us when we arrived, but shortly thereafter, there were... More

Amazing food, delicious drinks. Best bloody mary in town by far. Hash special was spectacular. If they are serving it when you visit, get it.

amazing grits and bloody marys. The place fills up on weekends ,but weekdays you rarely have to wait. What's wrong with waiting a little bit anyway?

My husband and I decided to stop into Hot Suppa on Saturday before a show in the city. The atmosphere is great, the waitstaff is very friendly, they have a decent beer and wine menu to choose from, AND interesting menu . . . I ordered the Pimento Cheeseburger, not knowing what pimento meant but it sounded good (note to... More

I have been here many times before, and on this occasion came with two friends who were visiting from out of state. We came for mid-morning breakfast on a weekday and had only a minimal wait. The staff and atmosphere are consistently decent, and the prices consistently about $2.00 more on everything than comparable restaurants- not enough to complain about,... More

This small restaurant has the best breakfast in Portland. The three egg scramble, corned beef hash, or eggs benedict are all fabulous, as are their home fries. Also wonderful cinnamon raisin toast, and great coffee. Hmmm, the best.

Another great Trip Advisor tip! Stopped here for breakfast, and it was awesome. The Biscuits and Gravy are some of the best I have ever had. Light, flaky biscuit with rich, sausage infused gravy, great hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs. It just doesn't get much better! The real stand out is the coffee. My wife works for Starbucks, and... More
