Best grilled cheese & tomato soup. Hands down.

YUM! Stopped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The staff made me feel like an old friend. The atmosphere is cozy. The food isn't fussy, but it is damn delicious. Stopped here for Happy Hour and stayed for supper. We had a difficult time deciding what to have because so many things sounded good! No one in our group of 4 was disappointed . Good selection of local beers, knowledgable wait person , fresh oysters, delicious grits with shrimp, Korean barbecue sandwich and oyster po'boy (bigger oysters desirable!) sandwich. We'll... More

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant and the service was excellent. The southern food is different from what you typically find in Maine, so that was enjoyable. They have small appetizer portions for those who want to eat light or try a couple of different things. All in all, a fun place to eat out with friends.

Can't remember how we ended up here but have been back many times. The wait can be a bit long to get a table (the place is small), the smaller your group, the faster you get a table. But trust me, it is worth the wait! The food is amazing. Corned beef hash, cheese grits.....Never had anything I didn't like... More

I was a bit reluctant to go here after reading about how small it is and the long waits, but after schlepping to Marcy's Diner and finding it closed for vacation, off we went to Hot Suppa!. We were told a half hour wait on a Saturday in February, but it was definitely less than that. Cool atmosphere and friendly... More

This is a small local restaurant with incredible food. We were seated very early and within 10 minutes all the booths were take. There are no real tables but we still felt we were in a private space. The wait staff were very friendly and made excellent recommendations to us. We always try to choose from the specials menu. We... More

This week I've got a chance to celebrate a father-in-law birthday in such a nice and hospitable place (he was there before for a restaurant week and loved it!). We had a company of four and liked everything from the interior, full of ictures with Portland views to a quick and friendly sevice and, of course, delicious meals. We had... More

This place is full shortly after they open and stays full. Great egg sandwiches and omlets. The service is spotty but very cheerful.

The bloody mary is fantastic. It is not for the weak of heart but if you like spice this is perfect. Small place that is very nice so expect a wait (even in winter, which is rough).

We had supper here early in March. Arrived at 5:30 and had to wait 10 minutes for a table. Great crowd for a Tuesday night in March. My kids both had chicken and waffles and enjoyed them very much. My wife ordered the hen and dumplings. She thought the flavour was good but found the little hen pieces got a... More
