We knew that we would try this bakery after the glowing reviews of others on Tripadvisor. This bakery is a little out of the way so you'll have to be clever. Standard Baking Company is situated close to the harbor so we took our treats to the water to watch the seals swim and the ferry dock. We ordered the... More

Long line for not much. Found the treats too sweet, no menu posted or anywhere so you can't see what is available till you wait on long line, get to counter, and everyone seems in a rush for you to move on and go pour your own coffee. I also hate when places don't have flat lids, only pop ups.... More

The place is great. All sorts of breads, rolls, cookies, scones, etc. . Here's an idea 4u. If you get shut out at Duck Fat, one block away is a great Italian deli. Get your cold cuts, a plastic knife and fork and walk down to Fore St to this wonderful bakery.

The baguette is dense, chewy and reasonably priced. The fruit tarts are buttery, the fogatz is like savory, crunchy fried dough, the brownies are fudgey and to die for.

Everything is made fresh in the morning. Fresh brewed coffee was great! Scones were delicious. The scones were not too sweet and just melted in your mouth. Wonderful pastries.

Great little bakery right next to our Hilton hotel. There was a line each morning. Everything we tried was wonderful!

The Standard Baking Co serves absolutely world class breads and pastries. If you were in Paris you would not get better bread - and that is not an exaggeration. They have a wonderful selection of top quality baked goods and the line out the door should serve as a great indication of the quality of the product. I was there... More

This bakery on the harbor is popular with locals and tourists alike. Everything is amazing - especially the croissants (if you like almond, I've never had a better one), the cinnamon rolls, and the gingerbread. A friend tipped us off to show up early, and it was a great idea - the place opens at 7, we showed up at... More

My fiance and I just got off the sunrise mailboat tour and decided to stop here for some baked items for breakfast. So glad we did! My fiance got a Ham & Cheese croissant and I got a chocolate croissant. These 2 croissants were the best we've ever tasted, definitely highly recommend trying this place!
