This bakery seems primarily a bread bakery, which they do very, VERY well. They have a wonderful assortment of breads and a chalkboard "menu" describing the specialty offerings for each day of the week. The walnut topped sticky buns are fantastic: wonderful, sweet dough, delicious cinnamon, a decadent glaze and plentiful walnuts - probably the PERFECT "coffee roll". Their baguettes... More

Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, we noticed the bakery as we were giving the car to the valet. Our activities were planned for the evening, so we didn't get to explore the bakery until two days later when we were about to head home..and hat a delightful surprise. The scent of coffee, yeasty bread and sweet pastries was intoxicating.... More

I was looking out my hotel window early in the morning and noticed a steady stream of people at The Standard Baking Co. Hmmm...what's all the fuss about? Then I eat at Street and Co. (which was great!) and while I'm enjoying the bread, the waitress tells me that it comes from The Standard Baking Co. Hmmm... maybe I should... More

Fantastic bakery. Not for those with celiac! This is a gluten extravaganza. Amazing bread! Great Service!

Fresh robust coffee. Interesting tea. Breads and pastries look delicious and taste amazing. Reasonable prices for hand crafted goodies. Located right outside our hotel lobby. What's not to love?!

Amazing baked goods & breads. Traditional challah. Wish they had a place to sit - they would sell out by teatime.

This was the best bakery i've been to in a while. I've been to France and have had many croissants. This bakery can be compared to some of the best croissants I've ever tasted!! They have homemade "Hand apple Pies" that are to die for. And their fresh breads are amazing! We went there every morning we were in Portland.... More
