Food (pastries) was some of the best I've had. Coffee was pretty good, too. If you're walking by, getting something from The Standard Baking Co. is a must.

Amazing quality baked goods, especially the croissants and cookies. Perfect texture and level of sweetness. The almond croissants go fast; one of the most delectable treats you will eat! Line moves quickly, staff is friendly, and nice variety. Bought bread for sandwiches, which was also excellent, with a super crusty outside! Amazing!!

Tucked in behind the Fore St restaurant, this place is a gem. I came at breakfast (7pm when the place opened) and bought an almond croissant and blueberry scone. I have to say these were the best croissants and scones I have ever tried. I enjoyed them so much that I came back the next evening and bought another scone... More

A wide variety of wonderful breads are baked here. The crispy crusts display the care and technique of master bakers. Well worth a visit

Stopped in here on a Friday morning due to seeing great reviews on TA. Waited a little in line but it went fast. Basically a high-end version of the Panera concept but with only the baked goods portion. I had no idea what to order and we were heading to the Maine mid-coast that morning--plus I already had breakfast. Grabbed... More

My husband and I got here just about 15 minutes after they opened in the morning last week and there was only about a minute wait. The pain au chocolat was delicious and flakey like you would expect from a bakery in France. The morning bun with walnuts was delicious, but a little on the overly sweet side. The sugar... More

We had a few different types of chocolate cookies. I wish I paid more attention the the names. Because I would love to eat them again. We all loved them. We were only in town for a day or I would of defiantly went back for more. The lady's that worked there were also very nice.

The line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved quickly. The lemon tart was amazing, and I bought some cookies to take home. But the coffee was bitter, pick up your coffee elsewhere.

Yep, there's a line. It's usually out the door and into the parking lot. But, I never waited for more than five minutes and I went four days in a row. They've got great baked goods, excellent service and they move the crowd through with incredible efficiency. How's the food? How are the almond croissants? How are the nut topped... More

Good baguette and brioche, but I stayed on my appetite when I ordered an iced latte and was told they only had regular coffee... I know it is not a coffee place but a bakery, but it would enhance the experience. Not much place to sit outside, overlooking a parking so better to grab things and head for the waterfront.
