Appropriate for families and couples, Brick oven pizza

Bonobos is a neighborhood-type place with a bar as well as tables. It was not crowded on the Friday night 6 pm when we visited, and it was not too noisy to chat together. It was our first visit and we liked it a lot. The brick oven burning warmly adds to the ambiance on a cold winter... read more

this place uses a solid brick wood burning open oven to do their pizza and what a difference. tastes old world. their pizza is 13" and up; the mix of toppings creative and location is a bit off the beaten track which means the biz is mostly local, which means you can actually get in without a six month advance... Small neighborhood place with some tables overlooking the wood-fired oven. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

The decor/ambiance of this place is great! Very warm & inviting. The food was very good overall: The corn chowder was amazing, the tallegio pizza was good (smokey tomatoes w/tellegio cheese), but the house salad left something be desired - it was fine, but that's about it. Go for the chowder, but skip the salad.

Great pizza and friendly staff. Best wood fire pizza we had during our twenty three day New England trip.

Date of visit : 6/13 & 6/14/15 my husband and I ate here on Saturday and ordered take out sunday. Both times the waitstaff was prompt and attentive. If you like thin crust wood fire pizza this is the place to go! Big enough to share or small enough to have as a personal pizza depending on your appetite. Definitely... More

This is a great neighborhood spot. I usually sit at the bar from where you can watch the pizzas cooking in the wood oven, see the wood added, and the pizzas tended. The pizza is exceptionally good. I also love the caesar salad, which you can get with white anchovies. The romaine is crisp, just the way I like it.... More

Great pizza, very crispy. The "Caspian" pizza was perfect. 1 small pizza is perfect for 2. Atmosphere was really nice. Casual and rustic. We will come back next time we're in Portland.

Been here twice now. Both times the pizza was exceptional. First time it took us ~45 minutes to get our pizza. (You're busy, I get it. No big deal.) Second time it took even longer. Like twice as long. No joke. So if you're really in the mood for some great brick oven pizza and have 2-3 hours to kill,... More
