My family likes this place, so we usually go here (except when we go to Otto's). I like it; pizza is good. But I think the bill is steep! It's just pizza and drinks and a salad here and there, but it adds up. Service is good altho it seems to take forever to get a pizza. Not sure why.

Bonobo is the best pizzeria in Portland. There is a lot of generic pizza in Portland, like anywhere, but there's nothing else like this in town. I live nearby, and I often see them loading in a fresh supply of hardwood for the oven, which is great to see. This is the closest Portland gets to Italian pizza, with a... More

Yes, the service is way above your average pizza house (including another acclaimed pizza joint(s) on the peninsula), and their pizza is good! Best Gluten Free pizza in Portland. Local and organic ingredients, so it is a little bit more pricey, but worth it.

There are a lot of pizza joints in Portland, but search no further than Bonobo. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by a beautiful blonde who later became my server. I discovered she was every bit as kind and caring as she was beautiful, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Then to the pizza. I ordered the... More

I live in the neighborhood and have been to Bonobo a few times before, though it has been a while. I wanted to try them again, and invited a friend who had never been. We went on a weekend early evening and it was quiet. I like the warm atmosphere and lighting and the unpretentious feel to the place. Our... More

First time for us at Bonobos. Friends go there and love it so we went with them on a Friday night recently. Our friends had called ahead for reservations so we got seated right away. I love the neighborhood feel of the place and the lights on the ceiling, very fun kindof place to hang out on a Friday night.... More

Local to where we staying. Great pizza, with local artists' work to admire whilst eating. Reasonably priced wine and beer, too.

Love the half-price wine and beer on Mondays. The wood-fired pizzas are creative, delicious, and the bigger the party, the more flavors to try. Simple, friendly, tasty and a welcome place to eat any time of the year. What's not to like?

We went here for lunch on a Saturday and just had slices and salad. The choices were pretty interesting (and change regularly). I just did pepperoni and friends did the veggie slices, but the wood firing made all the difference. Our server, Peter, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Maine brewed beers on tap and I was very pleased... More

Bonobo has wonderful pizzas with rather thin crusts, which I like. The flavors are imaginative and always delicious. I've tried most of them, and the Bonobo (with mushroom) and the Moroccan (with lamb)are my two favorites.
