We've lived in Portland for over a decade and its full of amazing dinner options. We chose Emilitsa for an anniversary dinner evening (for the second time). It's really hard to beat. The food is so simple and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect. Great Greek wine, great appetizers (scallops and Greek salad), great mains (duck and moussaka), great... More

This was definitely our best gastronomic experience in Portland. The starters were delicious, smoked sheep cheese & figs and the most amazing chicken livers we have ever had. The lamb was outstanding and the moussaka was fantastic. Topped off with deserts that were, well, decadent, this meal couldn't be beat. All throughout, we enjoyed a great wine selection and the... Emilitsa is an exceptional restaurant. We ate here based on the reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. The owners are Greek brothers who have stayed loyal to their mother's traditional Greek recipes while adapting them to use the fantastic local ingredients. A classic example is my friends starter of Maine scallops which were beautifully fresh and perfectly... More

Came from out of town looking for place to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy - menu small but the food is very tasty - a modern and elevated greek selection. Service was attentive - the perfect place for a date or a celebration.

On October 2 we ate at Emilitda's We had the scallop appetizer and The three dips which were perfect. I had the swordfish which was done perfectly and my husband had lamb which was lightly blackened on the outside and pink on the inside. The service was perfect. It was not a busy night and we really enjoyed the calm... More

Attentive service was accompanied with delightful dinner. The service (Katie) knew her menu ad her wine and was pleasant and observant even though it was a busy night and she was also handling the bar. We have been here numerous times and it has never fallen short of the mark. Why it's not on Portland's top 10 we don't know.... More

The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. My husband and I both thought our entrees were exceptional. The flavors were complex yet nothing was overpowering. Can't say enough about this place, it was great. If you are in Portland you must go.

We would go back in a heart beat and as we told the very accommodating owner we want to try an entree on our next visit. We had been down the coast and grabbed a couple of lobsters late in the day at the Pier Chowder House at Porpoise Bay(highly recommended). It was art crawl night in Portland and everywhere... More

Emilitsa is a great Greek restaurant in Portland. It's downtown, but a few blocks away from the harbor area - worth the walk. The food and service are excellent. The seafood offerings are particularly good.

We eat at Emilitsas whenever we can. It is a small, family owned very authentic restaurant. One of the owners always comes around to chat a little. We always order the salad, which is not a typical Greek salad. It is light and lemony with a hint of oregano and fresh red peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. The pita and... More
