We would definately not visit this restaurant again. The service was poor as was the food. My husband had a Haddock sandwich that was mostly breading and very little fish. I had the seafood chowder that lacked taste and freshness. We also had the fried calamari that was very greasy, chewy and mostly breading. It might be the only place... More

I had the lobster roll, which was very good. Others had burgers or fish sandwich: both were enormous and delicious. The potato chips were excellent! Normally I wouldn't pay attention to the chips, but these were really good! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, and there were unusual and interesting beers on tap. Overall an excellent lunch!

The waitstaff was great, and some, but not all of the food was excellent. We enjoyed the cozy quality of the inside of the place, and sitting outside on the wharf.

We went to the "new" Dipnet with 4 other friends and family hoping for an enjoyable experience. We sat and waited outside on the dock, there were only 2 other tables with customers. I finally went in to find a waitress and get menus. We ordered two buckets of steamers. About one third of them were not cooked or did... More

You made a big mistake when you dismissed Scott!! Now your food is so inferior, I would never recommend it to anyone. The beautiful view can be seen from the dock without wasting money on poorly prepared food.

I've had the pleasure of dining at the Dip Net several times this summer being from an island just off the coast of Port Clyde. Beautiful location watching the sunset over Port Clyde harbor. Super friendly wait staff who always have smiles on their faces and take care of anything you need promptly. The mussels are a must have for... More

The view is great, so stop in and have a few beers before heading up to Doug's Seafood. The Dip Net used to be a gem. Linda Bean's ownership has done nothing positive for the place. Who wants to see multiple trademarked items on the menu? I wouldn't mind as much if the food was good, but it's not.

What a wonderful spot to watch the activity in port Clyde harbor! Lunch was a simple affair - I had a lobster salad and hubby fish and chips. I wasn't expecting gourmet, so wasn't disappointed. I stole half my husbands fries as they were so good.

In 2007, we wrote a glowing review of the Dip Net, a charming locally owned place. We obviously missed the news that Linda Bean bought it and,as the previous reviewer said, it is AWFUL. Mediocre food, lousy presentation - so bad that we actually took one bite or our rubber seafood and mushy veggies and apologetically told our server that... More
