Quiet spot on Casio bay. Down the street from the ferry, quiet, on the water, outside dining. The onion rings are decadent, we kept it simple with shrimp cocktail and sandwiches. Icy cold beers, nice people, just lovely. No reason to dress up, it's not necessary. We lunched there all week. FUN!

Loved the ferry ride to Peaks Island. Lunch was very good and the view outstanding sitting on the deck. Staff members were friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. This is a must do while in Portland, ME

Stopped in after getting off the ferry for drinks. Not a large selection of draft beers but they did have a few local microbrews and some more craft beers in bottles as well as old standards. The fried jumbo shrimp we also had were HUGE and wonderful. While we were early, the deck would be a great place to watch... More

There's no better sunset than the one you get from the deck of this restaurant. It drew us in 3 years ago, and has become our special MUST HAVE place to go each year. Somehow we end up going on trivia night, and end up in last place each time too, so that's also become part of our tradition. The... More

Once a year, we go to Peaks Island House for lunch and it has been consistently good. The special was fried clams which were yummy. The haddock sandwich was loaded with fish. Fries, onions rings, and sweet potato fries were all good too. Simple but nice and the services was great. The best part, of course, is the view. You... More

Had a late lunch at Peaks Island House while taking a day trip from Portland. Waitress was very accommodating. My daughter wanted the pasta from the kids' menu which is usually served only at dinner time, but she checked with kitchen and they made it for her. I ordered the lobster roll; it was very good, but pricey. My son... More

We went there for lunch. It was a good thing that we were not in a hurry. It seem to take about 1/2 an hour to get our meal one that we had ordered it. It seemed to be an issue with out wait person since we noticed that diners who had the same waitress also waited quite some time... More

PIH is a down home casual restaurant with food at a reasonable price. Good variety from full meals to fresh fried fish sandwiches and lobster rolls and clam rolls and homemade soups and chowders. Also great for kids and there are chicken fingers, burgers and fries. Beautiful views from the outdoor porch and convenient to the ferry if just visiting... More

Comfy eatery with a great view, nice staff and good food. Even a small bar. In business since 1912 according to the menu on the wall. Fairly wide menu selection all done competently. Great view of Portland and its harbor and the comings and goings of the ferry traffic. Been coming for years a solid reliable pleasant experience. Better than... More

Good venue not far from the ferry landing. It's a must when on Peaks Island. The clam roll with onion rings is the best choice on a varied menue featuring Maine seafood. Service is good, while the menue is a little pricey. There are just three restaurants on the Island.....you should visit all three.
