PIH is a down home casual restaurant with food at a reasonable price. Good variety from full meals to fresh fried fish sandwiches and lobster rolls and clam rolls and homemade soups and chowders. Also great for kids and there are chicken fingers, burgers and fries. Beautiful views from the outdoor porch and convenient to the ferry if just visiting... More

Comfy eatery with a great view, nice staff and good food. Even a small bar. In business since 1912 according to the menu on the wall. Fairly wide menu selection all done competently. Great view of Portland and its harbor and the comings and goings of the ferry traffic. Been coming for years a solid reliable pleasant experience. Better than... More

Good venue not far from the ferry landing. It's a must when on Peaks Island. The clam roll with onion rings is the best choice on a varied menue featuring Maine seafood. Service is good, while the menue is a little pricey. There are just three restaurants on the Island.....you should visit all three.

Food took a long time to arrive. Ran out of ice (atleast according to our server) on a summer day in July. No fan in the outdoor deck, and was very hot. Food is average, clam chowder heavy on cream and potato but low on clams. But prices were not cheap.

We took a quick trip over to Peak's Island on July 4th with relatives visiting from afar. The girl at the hot dog cart right off the dock suggested that Peaks Island House might be best for our group, including casual diners with small children. Otherwise, for fancier dining, she suggested the other two restaurants on the island. We waited... More

Service was quick and friendly. Food was well-prepared, but nothing special. Excellent view of the harbor. Neither waitress nor menu mention that alcoholic drinks are available - I was really looking to have a cocktail overlooking the water. I noticed the bar on the way out.

We recently had a very nice dinner with family at The Peaks Island House. We have been there several times previously and have never been disappointed. The food has always been very good and the view from the outside seating deck is wonderful. I have tried many of their seafood dishes - lobster and the fried clam dinner are always... More

The Peaks Island House is prime real estate a short walk from the ferry landing on Peaks Island in Maine. The restaurant has a outdoor patio overlooking Casco Bay and Portland, Maine. Sunset occurs right in front of you. The menu is moderately priced with a good range of selections, especially seafood. I had NY Sirloin as I was seafooded... More

Great view, friendly staff, but just average food. They have added some very good microbrews on tap since we last ate there several years ago.

Try the salmon and corn chowdah if you can get it. Drink specialties are also quite good. Service is fine and you can watch the sun set over Portland.
