Every summer, we visit friends who live in nearby Norway, Maine. Driving over to The Lost Gull for lunch is a favorite ritual. The lobster roll is generously packed with real down Maine lobster on a buttered, toasted roll, as is the custom! Delicious, for only $11.99 this year. Other places on the coast charge $20+ for something similar. My... More

On a visit to Maine and decided to drop in. Wow! Great food and plenty of it. Big portions. The clams are not like any I ever had. The clam chowder is delicious. The fish and chips were the best.

Loved my lobster roll onion rings and fries. Grandson had kids shrimp which I helped him enjoy. The bathroom is a port a potty. All dining is outside or take out great place to stop

Had the lobster roll which seemed tiny, overpriced and nothing to write home about. Also ordered the shrimp and roast corn soup which sounded yummy but it didn't have much flavor aside from some hot spiciness. Cute place with a couple of screened in areas to eat in...we ate outside at a picnic table. Plenty of other seafood shacks to... More

The seafood is absolutely delicious including a generous serving! I love every entry there! The food is always cooked to perfection! The scallops melt in your mouth, the clams are so tasty, and the lobster roll is running over with lobster! The fries and onion rings are crispy & delicious as well! I'm salivating just writing this review! :) Can't... More

We stopped by Lost Gull last night for the first time since 2005, when we used to vacation nearby on Thompson Lake, and it was every bit as good as we'd remembered. We both had the fried haddock. The batter coating was crispy, delicious, and not oily at all. The fish was fresh, and the fries crunchy and hot. Good,... More

We ate here on our vacation in Maine. We were a large party (6 adults, 4 young kids). Arrived for 5pm and they handled our large order with no problem. Food was ready within 10 min. for all of us. Clam chowder was fantastic! If you like fresh fried seafood you will want to eat here while in the Oxford,... More

Great clam-cakes and fried clams. The lobster stew is chock-full of lobster meat. The fried clams were delicious, you could really taste the clam, not over powered by the batter or oil. One downside is its location. Limited parking and seating along noise route 26, but well worth the stop. Reasonable prices and large portions.
