Didn't quite no what to expect when I entered a place called "tarte" And yes they do sell tarts - as well as very yummy sandwiches, cakes - in fact all the usual sort of foods that you would expect from a fashionable coffee and tea shop - but in a very upmarket room that is both gracious but informal.... Nice little place and at least it's somewhere on the High Street to give the White Hart a bit of competition if people are looking for just a cuppa and a snack. Good attention to detail and it is what it is- worth a visit and the people are nice too.

Myself & my husband used to go to this coffee shop when it was under the old management, we were a bit worried when the name was changed & we realised it had been sold to new owners. But we need not have worried as it's even better now if that's possible. The sandwiches & cakes are lovely as is... More

I've been visiting this quaint little coffee shop for a few months now, and I have noticed something... The management here are distinctly anti-cyclist, I have one thing to say about this - Thank you. Too often do I go to coffee shops to have a nice quiet chat over a coffee and a slice of cake to have the... More

I visited tarte in Brasted a few weeks ago, the warm welcome from friendly staff was a great start, followed by amazing coffee. It was a tough decision but I chose the homemade sausage roll and salad which was amazing. The selection of homemade cakes was something else, there was nothing for it, I simply had to take a slice... More

Fab food and coffee Devine. Will always pop in when passing. Service is excellent. Great to support a local family business rather than the usual chains!!

Popped in during a long shift for a pick me up and the coffee in here is fantastic! Cinnamon sprinkles too!!! Will be popping back when I'm passing on my bike for another to get me up those nearby hills and to try the cake!

Have had lunch at Tarte on a few occasions and the food is always delicious. Living in Brasted we don't have many places to pop for an informal lunch without always going to the pub!! Always made to feel welcome here, the dog even gets his own bowl of water.

Now under new ownership. Charming building has been redecorated beautifully. Outdoor tables in warm weather. Unlike the chains they bring the coffee to your table rather than making you stand around at the counter like a dork. Flat white especially good.

We popped in yesterday with our 1 year old and were really impressed with the decor and general feel of the place. Plenty of friendly staff and very good food and well made flat white. A brilliant addition to a lovely village. Will be back. Well done guys and look forward to seeing those high chairs soon
