Good coffee, great views

Great coffee and the views from the seating area are amazing. Can get backed up on a busy morning on the weekend so that it can take a really long time. But if you have the time, it's really nice and the staff is friendly.

This coffee shop has the best view from inside as well as an outside gravel patio area right on the ocean. It is my favorite place to get coffee & a bagel in the morning with a fantastic view!

My favorite place in Ogunquit. Every morning that I am in Ogunquit, I walk to Breaking New Grounds. My favorite coffee in the fall is the pumpkin spice and in the summer I like the blueberry. It is such a relaxing way to start the day. You can't get much better than sipping coffee while looking out at the ocean.... More

Walk just a little further south on Perkins Cove, and you'll find this secret place with an outstanding view of the ocean. Unlike the capuccino from the "more popular" bakery on Main Street in Ogunquit, this was not all foam, air and scant coffee. Breaking New Grounds had an excellent frothed steamed milk topping, but it also had great tasting... More

We stopped in for iced coffees while we were walking around Perkins Cove. It was a hot day and the air conditioning was a nice relief while we ordered our drinks. The outdoor seating area is adorable and we enjoyed our beverages out there for a while. My only issue is that the iced coffee must have been recently brewed,... More

This is a hidden gem at the end of the road near Perkins Cove. On our recent trip to Ogunquit beach, we stopped at Perkins Cove and the weather was perfect for a cup-o-Joe. So we walked along Harbor lane and at the end of the road came across Breaking New Grounds. The coffee is good, but the view is... More

The most quaint place in the cove. An escape from from the hustle and bustle. Expensive, but a nice respite from the crowds.

This shop was 78 steps from our house in Perkins Cove, and we loved being able to quickly walk down for coffee, tea, and yummy pastries. The cinnamon twist was delicious!

We ate there this year for the second time and were not disappointed. I had a 3 pound lobster which was terrific. My wife had sword fish that was also great. We enjoyed nice appetizers and desserts too. The service was superb.

It does not get much better than sipping a large latte while sitting in an Adirondack chair with your feet resting on the fence rail and the ocean breaking around the rocks in front of you. They have a nice selection of coffees, teas (hot and cold) and baked goods. They also have gelato, though we did not try that.... More
