Good food, great atmosphere, right in the heart of town

All we wanted was a bit of food rather than a full meal. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder -- it was wonderful, full of minced clams, just enough seasoning, and very filling. The serving was quite large for an appetizer. My friend ordered the lobster roll, which was full of fresh lobster... read more

Late night, wanted dessert. Ended up at a table with fire, fresh lobster roll and homemade Sangria. Not what we planned, but just what we wanted.

Lobster roll was a bit more expensive but really good and in a home made bread, make it different from the classic hot dog bun lobster roll Side chips with it not really my thing knowing the chips they give are a bit too salty! The fire table outside are really interesting one of the reason we stopped and the... More

Whoever is doing "prep" didn't care enough to wash the mushrooms... and who knows what else wasn't washed. The lobster in the salad was mushy and limp. We would never return to that restaurant to eat!

This place is disgusting. I had the "famous" lobster role and broccoli salad and got food poisoning. I called the restaurant and the female I spoke to handed the phone to the manager telling her "this guy's an a*s". I called to report an illness I received from dining at this terrible restaurant and was insulted instead. I ate ONLY... More

I have been vacationing in Ogunquit for over 20 years. My brother and my sister in law from Denver were going to meet me in Maine. I was telling them about the great lobster rolls you can get at Rose Cove. My sister in law is Vegan, so we went to the Village Market across the street and got her... More

Went there tonight. After summering here for 13 years, wanted to try it for more than just ice cream. I had a cobb salad and from first look it wasn't your usual cobb it had fruit along with asset's vegges and some ham and cheese. However it was good and filling. My partner had haddock sandwich with fries and watermelon. It... More

This family-owned place looks like it's mainly an ice cream and candy place, but they have nice inside and outside seating and a decent lunch menu. This place was recommended for their lobster bisque and we weren't disappointed. Very creamy, generous portions, and I found two whole, unbroken pieces of claw meat in my bowl. Loved the family photos around... More

My husband and I have been staying in Ogunquit for a week every summer for years. Out of our seven days, in past years, we've taken lunch at the Rose Cove Café around four or five times per vacation week and we've always loved the food and the atmosphere. This year, while the food was still great, we did not... More

Not bad but deff nothing special. Average. Grilled cheese on pita bread with tomato & fries was just average. Lobster roll had decent amount of lobster and was on a round roll (not the normal hot dog roll) was fine but again nothing special. Service was average. They offer free fudge tasting at hostess stand which is nice. On a... More
