Arrows has seen its better days. My wife and I visited the retaurant for the third time this past July (09). It was a dissapointment. In the past the service and food were up to par and lived up to the restaurant's reputation. However, the quality of the waitstaff and the food has declined. While well intentioned, the waiter was... more

Yes, it's pretentious.  Yes, it's high brow to the extreme.  Yes, they charge you for butter service.  But frankly that's not a bad thing at Arrow's.  My wife and I enjoyed the experience of really being waited on and taken care of from the moment we arrived.  I won't repeat what others have said, but we loved the over the... more

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We are in our early 30's and definitely no strangers to fine dining and expensive restaurants. I make a healthy six figure income and my wife works as well. But when we walked in, we quickly felt out of place. Extremely pretentious and the average age was like 50 years old.... more

We made reservations two nights in advance for dinner at the Arrows; the same day we received a call-back telling us that the 9 pm seating was not available (because no one else had made reservations), and could we come at 6 instead? We could not. The matter hung for two days, but finally we received permission to come at... more

We've dined all over the world, and yes, Arrows is expensive and has some pretensions (butter and water service are stupid,) but the atmosphere is sublime and it's one of the best dining experiences in the world. We had no problems like others apparently did. more

I recommend this restrant to anyone that can afford great food and is just there to relax. I don't recommend to bring young children under 12 unless they can behave themselfs. The servise is just great but just keep in mind that they treat you exactly the way you treat them. In the backyard of the place there is a... more

I live nearby and I have gone to Arrows several times. The first few times were outstanding, as this was before they started receiving accolades. This became our restaurant of choice for special occasions. It was a place that I recommended to many people. However, accolades appear to have made them forget about customer service and meal quality - but... more

We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but the staff- including one of the owners (his name is Clark) - didn't seem to try too hard. I don't know...maybe because I wasn't wearing designer heels and my husband wasn't wearing a fine silk tie knotted with gold? Too bad...we are loyal foodies who enjoy giving generous gratuities. The food was... more

Not for everyone, as the reviews plainly show, but if it's your thing then it's absolutely worth it at least once. We did the "indulgence menu," the 10-course chef's tasting. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful evening. The wine pairings were pretty great, the staff was helpful and attentive, and the food ranged from pretty great to amazing.... more
