Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...

With the limited choices of places to eat in Perkins Cove, Shack is my favorite. Really, everyone serves the same food in the Cove, only variance is ambiance and price. Shack is where you go when you just want to grab a bite and a beer and get on with the day. Great lobster roll, best value in the Cove.... More

Came to the Ogunquit lobster shack thanks to so many positive trip advisor reviews. It did not disappoint! This was our family's first trip to Ogunquit and the lobster shack was our first meal here. The lobsters were perfectly cooked and reasonably priced and the steamers were fresh and grit-free. We liked it so much we came back again the... More

This is the place to go in Perkins Cove if you want a fun, casual, lobster dinner with family and friends. This place was packed every time we went for lunch or dinner. The price and value were definitely one of the reasons. Yes, you may get messy but they have a hand sink for all to use if you... More

Very informal place and great especially for lunch. We've eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. We always have lobster of course.

First lobster roll in Maine. Went here based on reviews and it was Ok big, but flavorless ended up having better later in Newport RI. First clam chowder also. Was very good and beat the rest I tried.

Came back to Maine this year and took family to the lobster shack. The lobster rolls were excellent! The chowder was also a hit with everyone. I highly recommend this place. Don't expect a fancy restaurant. Come here for a great lobster roll on your way to the Marginal Way.

My husband and I went for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. We had the steamers - grit-free, tender and sweet. The boiled lobsters were perfection. They were hard-shell and filled with sweet succulent meat. It was a job to get at some of it, but they pre-crack the claws and split the tail, which is a big help.... More

Best lobster ever had. Went here on Monday 6/22, no line, no wait. It's a smaller establishment but we weren't here for ambiance, we're here for the lobster and boy was my tripadvisor fam right, this place is a MUST. Best lobster I've ever had. Was so delicious and succulent that the lobster didn't even need butter. Can't wait to... More
