Description: Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...

Every single member of the family claimed this was one of the best tasting meals they've ever had. The lobster roll...wow. We've had these in Boston, but THIS...this blows it away. Daughter feels the same way about the crab roll. The clam chowder and even the cole slaw were just outstanding. The place is small and you walk up to... More

Had a great meal in the shack. Chowder was good and teho fish tacos were amazing. Fresh and spicy. We admired the seafood stew and will order it next time. Friendly staff. Sat on the wooden benches inside. Authentic Maine lobster shack on the harbor.

Lobster Shack is a small restaurant in Perkins Cove right next to the draw bridge. Larger menu than you'd expect from a 'Lobster Shack' and they serve wine and beer. To be honest we've only sampled a few items from the menu because pretty much we always get the same thing. The lobster roll is great maybe 4 oz's of... More

This little place is tucked away at the very end of the road. There are several little places to get lobster in Maine but this little gem has to be one of the best. There is a place next door that might get more business because it is outdoors but make the trip into the shack. If your heart desires,... More

The best. Cute little place with terrific service. Not fancy. Just what you want to enjoy a lobster. Their special of a cup of chowder and a lobster roll was great!

We took a walk down Marginal Way with the sole intention of having a good lunch. We were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. I would go back here again and again and again.

We stopped by the Lobster Shack after having lunch at another local place where we paid almost double for our lobsters without any sides! We made sure to make this our stop for next lunch and got the special of 2 1lb. lobsters and corn on the cob for only $20. This was by far the best lunch we had... More

It is a tiny little Place near the end of Perkins Cove, from the outside does not look like too much. The food, however is fantastic. We had the lunch special of chowder, and a lobster roll. There was a huge amount of lobster in the roll, and was fresh, and delicious. The clam chowder was some of the best... More

Authentic shack food. Simple seafood, done right. Look for the specials, like lobster roll with chowder. Chowder is just right, not too soupy, not too thick.

Bottom Line: Lobster comes in from the boats across the street! Excellent service in a quint little town. Details: We stopped here after walking The Marginal Way and were so taken that we stopped by again the next day. The restaurant is small and the lines can be long but they move very quickly. The staff was incredibly friendly and... More
