Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...

Twin lobsters under $20!

Great little stand in Perkins Cove where you can get twin steamed lobsters for under $20! Quick and simple. They do have several other items, but what a deal with the twin lobsters!

We read the reviews and were looking forward to a great lobster meal. My husband had the sautéed haddock sandwich and he said it was good. I cannot say the same for my two whole lobsters. The lobsters came with corn and coleslaw. The corn was outstanding but the lobsters we're tasteless and not sweet. They tails were tough. To... More

Great lunch special - chowder, lobster roll. Always our first stop when we pull into town. Lively atmosphere, communal tables, great service, and as the name implies- lobster is king.

Fresh pure tasty lobster, no mayo. Soft, buttery, perfectly toasted rolls. This is a very casual, true lobster shack. Walk in through the door, a man behind the counter takes your order, your family sits down, and staff brings your order. Enjoy! Note: not many tables here, so if you really want to have the best lobster rolls in Ogonquit,... More

Bustling family atmosphere, great friendly service. Get the "two for" lobster special, served with classic sides. Served by the sea, what could be better?

They have a seafood chowder here that is just awesome! Not thick like clam chowder but light and delicious. Lobster and crab roll were also excellent. Not full of a bunch of mayo. Lots of meat. Ate here twice. It was THAT good.

Had the best and sweetest lobster tonight. And it was $5/lb. LESS than where we just ate lobster last night in another "renowned" restaurant in Ogunquit. And my family had the fish tacos which they said were awesome too. And a huge portion-3 tacos filled with fresh fish. A major highlight of our week's vacation!

After driving 1K miles this is our first stop in Maine. The chowder and lobster meals are superb. A must when visiting Maine.

Went to Lobster Shack after a local suggested it to us. After taking a beautiful walk on Marginal Way in Perkins Cove, we stopped here for a casual lunch. Got the special which included a cup of seafood chowder with the lobster roll, potato chips and slaw for $19. Chowder was a nice flavor but was lukewarm. Would have enjoyed it... More

I travel to Ogunquit at least 3 times a year but only today discovered this awesome place. And it were the reviews on TripAdvisor that directed us there and they were 100% correct. We got one lobster/chowder special, a fish taco order and another shack chowder (half clam half haddock in a wonderful light milk base). It will be our... More
