Sure, it's for tourists . . . but it's good

Can't go wrong with whole lobster or lobster rolls. Wasn't very excited about their seafood stew. Nice that they have a few local beers on tap. Very rustic setting, picnic tables and all. Perkins Cove is definitely worth the walk over from Ogunquit along the water, be sure to get an ice cream or hit the candy store.

Wasn't sure if the long queues were worth waiting in the cold and intermittent rain. We were glad we did because the lobsters were fresh and not drowned in mayonaise. The double order is definitely easy to share.

We ate here twice the week we visited. One day we had twin lobsters (1lb) for $20.00 special and the next fresh fish taco's that were covered with fresh cilantro and the fish chowder that was really flavorful. Even the sides of potato salad and cole slaw were good. We will be back every opportunity.

We stopped here for a snack and order the steam clams and of course, the lobster! The place is very cool and staff is friendly. We we're road tripping New England and must say this is the best lobster we have had. They cook it so perfectly it gets just the right texture and taste. A plus, it's in front... More

Came here for lunch today and had a good time here. The lobsters here are amazingly fresh and they get them straight from the boats that are literally 100 feet away. We ordered a whole steamed lobster, lobster roll, cup of their chowder and a bowl of their lobster stew. The people there are very friendly and helpful and passionate... More

This is a very casual place where you order before you sit down. Tables have benches. The service is extremely friendly and fast. We got their lobster roll and New England Clam Chowder. The Clam Chowder was very good and was packed with clams. The lobster roll was excellent. Not a fine dining experience but if you are looking for... More

Every time we go to Ogunquit we look forward to a lobster roll at the Lobster Shack. Most unfortunately we now have to say that it is definitely not what it used to be. We paid more and got nothing but the "meat" from the lobster claws. It was a major disappointment.

Stopped in for lunch before our walk on the Marginal Way. Delicious crab cake sandwich, served with cole slaw and chips. Everyone was friendly and I would absolutely visit again!

The Lobster Shack is wonderful for their lobster roll that includes slaw and chips. They are the best. For $2 more we got a bowl of fish chowder. Wonderful for a cool autumn day. The corn on the cob was local. Too bad you have to wait until next spring to try it since they closed last Sunday for the... More

This was our second visit to the Lobster Shack. Both times we had a steamed whole lobster, which is priced by the pound. The dinner comes with choice of two sides. We also tried the clam chowder and the lobster stew. The chowder was very good with lots of clams and not overloaded with potatoes. The lobster stew was delicious,... More
