Description: Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...

Our first day in Maine we walked the Marginal Way into Perkins Cove and were starving. I had read about The Lobster Shack on Trip Advisor and was looking for it. We passed by a number of other restaurants that looked inviting and our hunger almost won out before we located the Lobster Shack. it is just beyond the draw... More

Had lobster, steamers, chowder and beer the first visit. Fresh and delicious. Then I could not leave Perkins Cove without having THAT amazing chowder one more time. Went back for 2 bowls ( $8.50 a bowl) as soon as they opened the very next day. KILLER ! It could easily be Award Winning. Owner says its his Aunts recipe. Recommend... More

Not at all fancy. But you can't eat atmosphere. Luscious lobster rolls, crab cakes, clam chowder. Great, courteous staff. Worth any wait.

Excellent. We avoided a busy time and enjoyed a nice meal. We would recommend this as at arount 12:30 it was packed and i don't think it is worth queuing.

My husband and I had lobster at a few places during our vacation in Ogunquit, ME. The Lobster Shack by far was the ABSOLUTE BEST!! It was recommended to us by the locals who run the bed and breakfast close by, and they were right, it was the best!! We ate there several times for lunch (lobster roll and chowder)... More

The Lobster Shack serves real Maine seafood. Their fish chowder is packed with fish, and, no, it's not "creamy." Fish chowder has never been particularly "creamy," except in places designed to serve tourists some fancy, fake version. This is the real thing, and it's just as good as my grandmother's, which is going some. Their lobster roll is perfect -... More

We tried a few lobster restaurants around the area and I have to say this was THE BEST! Situated right near the famous Marginal way entrance, it's surrounded by sea, boats and very cute little shops and restaurants. Had the lobster, lobster roll, lobster wrap, fish tacos and clam chowder and it was all amazing and worth a try! For... More

Before having friends come for a visit, one of the places I wanted to visit with them was Ogunquit, ME. We started our day on a Lobster Boat trip and then went to the Lobster Shack for lunch. I read many positive reviews here about the place but must say, I was very disappointed. I did not find the food... More
