Ate here this past Saturday night, it was kind of hard to find at night, it was on a dark quiet road and it looks like a house or lodge. It is huge inside, nice big fireplace when you walk in, about three or four rooms all decorated differently. The waiters we had were a little strange, but there service... More

Wanted a nice dinner with family visiting from away (Alabama) and our kids who live in southern Maine near the restaurant. Very nice place with a great atmosphere for family dining. The staff was good and the service was very good. Food was excellent starting with appetizers thru the tasty desserts. Any of us in this party of 8 adults... More

We had the pleasure of dining at this lovely establishment on a Tuesday evening in October. We were pleasantly surprised with the number of people there. The menu had enough choices for all pallets, and everything was prepared to perfection. The waitstaff was efficient and right on top of all details. The unique event of the evening was we experienced... More

This was our second visit to Jonathan's in the past two years. Our initial visit was for the wedding of a close friend. This time, we simply dropped in on a whim following a day trip to the area on an unusually warm October weekend. We did not have a reservation, and were prepared to be turned away on that... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Jonathan's this past weekend for the third time in the past several years and I am happy to report that this place seems to be getting better and better. The staff were extremely pleasant and we couldn't ask for a better, more friendly waiter and waitress. We started our meal with appetizers...I had... More

We ate here on a busy Saturday night. I would recommend making reservations as people who didn't have them had a long wait. The ambiance is really nice. We had a table right next to the aquarium. They have a good sized parking lot at the restaurant and an overflow place across from the Meadowmere Resort. Which is rare in... More

My husband and I split an order of Lobster Newburg. We had to use a knife to cut the lobster. There are only a couple of reasons that happens, neither are good. On the coast of Maine, no one has an excuse for not serving supreme lobster. It was a Sunday night, the place was not busy, yet we were... More

Our daughter's wedding rehearsal and weeding took place at Jonathan's. The ambiance was perfect for the entire event, and the food was superb. It started with a rehearsal dinner for 25, which was cosy but not crowded, and the salmon and chicken where raved about by the guests. The next day we had the reception, pre-empted by the cocktail hour.... More

This restaurant was very highly recommended by our hotel and they were right. Some of the best seafood I've had in a while! Nice salad, loved the 'Seafarers Cache, and especially enjoyed the scallops. Good service, good atmosphere, good food, good company. If I lived here this restaurant would be one of my regulars.
