I've been to Oarweed many times in the past, but with a 9-year gap, I couldn't resist trying it again on my all-too-brief sojourn to Ogunquit. I wasn't disappointed either. My daughter and I sat outside with a view of the comings and goings on Marginal Way. My lobster roll was incredibly fresh with almost nothing added to it, and... More

We recently spent several days in New England and sampled seafood chowder at 4 different restaurants. The chowder at Oarweed Restaurant , Perkins Cove in Qgunquit was our favourite. The setting as well is wonderful with a view over the water and the Marginal Way walking trail. The service was efficient and friendly . Over the years of travelling in... More

We've eaten here several times in the past and have always enjoyed it. The location is wonderful, along the start of Marginal Way. Despite a what appeared to be a very busy weekend, our waitress, Samantha, was great. We had a lobster roll and chowder and enjoyed them both. The blueberry pie for dessert was just right. It was a... More

Oarweed has it all for those who love Maine....stunning ocean views, delicious seafood dishes and a casual atmosphere that feels like your are dining on a friend's porch!!! My folks, who are not seafood eaters, were pleased to find so many tasty options as well. My kids loved Oarweed and had fun watching tourists on the Marginal Way. What a... More

not worth it!! So many other great restaurants in the area. The bun on the lobster roll was too greasy. Nice to sit outside but too touristy.

Poor service! Everyone was running everywhere and the restaurant had plenty of seating available. Couldn't figure this one out! We waited a long time for our food. A Fish Sandwich and a Bowl of Seafood Chowder! The chowder had very little stock and lots of broth! I found ONE LITTLE piece of lobster and a tiny baby shrimp (canned?). Go... More

Great location, with parking and attentive attendant. However, when we waited for a table in a less than half full restaurant, we waited while the multiple hosts tried to figure out who was responsible for whom...a young host by passed us to the next in line. When we commented, he replied, "I though you were already being seated" then recommended... More

Plenty of options for the seafood and non seafood eater. The clam chowder was excellent. We don't normally get dessert at lunch, but a neighboring table ordered pie and strawberry shortcake, They looked way too good to pass up and they tasted as good as they looked.

The food is very good (best chowder we had during our vacation). The location is spectacular, and they have parking.

After walking the Marginal Way we were hungry...and this restaurant was recommended by a local. The seafood chowder was yummy and rich. We had the lobster roll, which was delicious and filling. One previous review said it was a "3 biter" It must have been an off night for that reviewer. There was as much lobster meat in our rolls... More
