We have gone to Perkins Cove many times and no doubt the location of this restaurant is amazing. BUT the food is so bad it is ridiculous. The fish filet at McDonalds is better quality than theor haddock sandwich. My husbands baked haddock had burnt bread crumbs on top. I mean black. They should really be embarrased.

This is a traditional family Maine seafood spot, good quality food, reasonable prices and a great view. We did not have great service,it's all college kids, and our guy was slow and forgetful... But they are kids serving in the summer and we were in no hurry, so it was acceptable. The manager needs to do a better job of... More

It's in a perfect spot at the end of the marginal way. It looks like a really cute place but it is nothing special. I had a fish sandwich that did not seem fresh at all, came with fries and they were cold. My friend had the chowder and it was very watery and she was hard pressed to find... More

We visit Oarweed Cove twice, once for dinner and once for just drinks. The service was great both times, from the host at the door to the waitstaff we got good service. The main attraction of this restaurant is the view. It is right on Marginal Way and, when seating outside, you get a wonderful view of the ocean and... More

Right in Perkins cove, it's probably the best of an average lot of lobster pounds/shacks. Service was ehh, chowder is good, there is not much else besides lobster, so be warned. Free valet parking was nice and the view is the best around.

The location is great, right on the water in Perkins Cove. The food was overpriced for what you get. A lobster dinner is just a lobster. No salad, no sides, no bread!

We just love the view from outside (even if folks walk by constantly and stare at what you are eating, can't account for poor manners!). Simple food is just what we want here, I always get lobster, my kids love the mac and cheese and hotdog kids meals.

The Oarweed Cove Restaurant not only has the best shore dinner around but also the best view. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for 43 years and have brought our 3 children since they little kids. We all keep coming back because it is our favorite restaurant in Southern Maine. It's has great food, a wonderful... More

After back to back to back fried clam meals, we wanted to try Oarwoods who has no fried foods on their menu. They also don't take reservations, which was perfect for us since we never knew when the dinner bell would ring for us. We just had a couple of their large dinner salads; with a blueberry pie ala mode... More
