After walking the Marginal Way we were hungry...and this restaurant was recommended by a local. The seafood chowder was yummy and rich. We had the lobster roll, which was delicious and filling. One previous review said it was a "3 biter" It must have been an off night for that reviewer. There was as much lobster meat in our rolls... More

good family fare. Lobster and lobster roll are the best. Forget the crab cakes-mushy. College kids trying their best. Good view of Perkins Cove. Give it a try but not a night on the town

pricey, but good parking $ It wasn't the best value or the best food I found at perkins Cove. It was ok, but not my favorite. They do have a big gravel parking lot(parking is the hard part at Perkins cove) and the view was great from the resturant

This is a place we return to again and again for lunch or dinner. The staff is always super-friendly, and it is the perfect place to get New England staples - their clam and seafood chowders are fantastic, they offer great shore dinners with boiled lobster and steamers or chowder - nothing fusion or super creative - but this is... OK, this is simple: Don't go to the Oarweed for the decor, but do go for the food. It's simple staple food that can be either incredibly delicious or merely so-so. One favorites: cedar-plank salmon, which is one of the restaurant's best offerings.

My husband and I split a 2 lb lobster and it was delicious and fresh! Decent princes, service was great (!) and the views overlooking the ocean were lovely while we were eating. There is great outdoor seating and excellent access to the Marginal Way for more breathtaking views.

A wonderful place to dine, however, was disappointed in "my usual" meal from the past. The recipe had changed and was not prepared the way I like it.

I need to start this review by saying the restaurant is nothing special on the inside, and certainly doesn't have any outstanding food to offer. It does however have an amazing view of Perkins Cove and this is probably the only thing that keeps the place in business. The staff was helpful and nice. Compared to the other restaurants in... Can't say enought how delicious everything was. The seafood chowder was to die for! Even my kids ordered after tasting ours! The lobster was good too. Can't beat the atmosphere. Very kid friendly!! Great start to a Maine vacay!

Incredible views but not much else... And plan to pay for that view. Can't believe they have the nerve to charge $19.50 for their lobster roll. Just ridiculous... It's a 3 biter...
