Great view, lots of tourists

Good place for tourists to enjoy a view of the ocean, especially at a window table. Lobster roll was good but should be a bit bigger for the price. Salad good. We recommend the delicious Indian Pudding for dessert. Service was very good.

We usually walk the Marginal Way and have dinner at the OarWeed. The food is somewhat pricey, but excellent. The chowder was very good. NY Strip and Stuffed Shrimp and Strawberry shortcake was great too. Figure $100 for two people...having one drink each. We still enjoyed it and plan to return. It's worth the splurge.

This place has a gorgeous view!! Clam chowder was delicious (and we are very picky), steak salad was good, straight up boiled lobster can't go wrong. Service was pleasant and not overly pricey. Would definitely recommend for the view alone!!

This was our 4th visit to Oarweed and every visit has been excellent. The food, staff and ambiance is always top notch. It's a laid back setting with an ocean view of Perkins Cove at the beginning of Marginal Way. You can't miss with this place.

The view is gorgeous and the position in unbeatable. The staff is very nice and friendly. We found the food truly excellent. It is true that the lobster roll is small and so are the other sandwiches. Personally it is all I need for lunch so I was happy with some great food in the right quantity. The lobster is... More

Visited on May 2 2015 for lunch. Checked out multiple places on Perkins cove for an authentic lobster roll and ended up at Oarweed. The place has a great atmosphere and looked exactly like we were hoping for a the type of lunch we wanted, not too stuffy and not too "shack like". We started with the "crisper"for an appetizer... The lobster roll described as "luxurious" arrived on a hot dog roll at thirty dollars, not comparable with other prices in the cove. The chowder was delicious, but we are not likely to eat here again.

We were sightseeing around Southern Maine, between York Beach and Ogunquit, and decided to stop at the Perkins Cove-located Oarweed Restaurant for lunch. Since it was only our 2nd day in Maine, my husband was craving some real Maine lobster. It was a cold, Saturday afternoon, so we ordered first some coffee, and then perused the Oarweed's lunch menu. My... More

My husband and I have been to Oarweed twice a year ,when visiting Maine. Always a highlight of our stay. This last time(Sept. 2014) will be our last. First we were told to sit anywhere, then we were asked to move, because table was being saved for someone. As we were getting ready to leave, our waitress came up to my husband... More

I've eaten at all the Perkins Cove restaurants and I love them all...but I want to give a shout out for my favorite. Something about the simple Maine atmosphere and location at the start of the Marginal Way makes me crazy for this place. Steamers and lobster done perfectly every time..at a reasonable price. Servers are always friendly and attentive.... More
