My husband and I heard about the Roost Cafe and Bistro from friends in Connecticut and decided to visit this weekend. What a charming restaurant! The location was easy to find and it appeared very charming. We were welcomed and offered a seat by the fireplace. What a nice way to start our evening. The staff was very pleasant, the... More

We enjoyed a night of German food at the Roost Cafe and Bistro, part of their off-season Wednesday nights around the world series. At first we were disappointed not to have the regular menu, but it was terrific. The food is perfectly prepared, arrives hot and beautifully presented, and is plentiful. Their new location is larger and very attractive -... More

We have eaten here many times, had drinks and got engaged here. The food is always excellent and the service is great. I love the atmosphere, and Rob and Aldo (the owners) are super nice and acommodating. Had my birthday dinner there tonight and it was really wonderful. One reviewer was saying something bad about the front of the house... More

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is even better! All fresh, homemade ingredients. The owners and Chefs truly take pride in their restaurant. An absolute amazing menu for anyone Gluten Free too. Its location is off the Marginal Way so it's a beautiful walk to take! I definitely recommend.

We were on our way to a Gallery open house and there were not many choices for dinner. The Roost was available, so we pulled in and in fact had a good meal The place was not at all busy and we were seated in the small and charming dining room, with the fireplace burning. Unfortunately, once you pass by... More

If you enjoy great food and poor service, then this is the place for you... I made reservations here for Valentines Day 2014 for my girlfriend & I. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly host who looked up our reservation & then went to make sure our table was ready. I had made a request for a specific... More

My daughter and I were planning to have brunch at a restaurant in Ogunquit, but discovered it was not open. So we went up the road to another restaurant - the Roost - which a neighbor had just that morning recommended. His favorable recommendation was right on. We walked into an upbeat and friendly restaurant. There was a fire going... More

My partner and I discovered Roost Cafe several years ago, when they were in Cape Neddick. Whenever we vacationed in Maine, this was where we had lunch. We now live in Ogunquit and were thrilled to see the Roost was moving to Shore Road. It's our go-to place for dinner now. The atmosphere, the friendly owners, and the food, of... More

We have been going to Ogunquit for many years. This time we decided to try Roost Cafe and Bistro. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is so warm and inviting.
