What a lovely Restaurant!

For Our first night out in Ogunquit this restaurant was recommended by our Inn keeper. 'Just a great recommendation' . A nice wine and Specialty cocktail list were offered. We settled on Manhattans which were perfect and quite a generous size. Evidently the Chef is Cuban and brings this... read more

Such a wonderful establishment. We came in for breakfast on our last day of our trip because of the extensive gluten free options. Not only was the food absolutely wonderful (must have the lemon ricotta pancakes and Maine lobster florentine benedict), the service was impeccable and the owner, Aldo, made us feel like family. He made my mother's day with... More

Cannot say enough about this place. Have eaten here twice for breakfast ( get up early and get here before 930am during the summer as it gets packed !). Lemon ricotta pancakes tasted even better the second time. Came here around 3pm and they were open but "in between lunch and dinner" so we had a shorter menu to choose... More

I ate in the bar. Choices were varied, food was good, great ambience. Bar choices were more reasonably priced. Restaurant seemed to be a great fine dining option.

My wife and I stopped for a late lunch knowing nothing about the restaurant going in. She ordered a salad, and I ordered "Chorizo Benedict" as a late breakfast. During the meal we both exclaimed several times at how much we were enjoying the food and experience. In particular, the chorizo, served patty-style, was a revelation, but so was the... More

Food was good, but nothing extraordinary to justify prices. With tip, bill came to $125 for 1 alcoholic drink, one iced tea, 2 apps, and three meals (Maybe I need to get out more?). Ambiance was very nice, but tight fit for tables. P.S. Wait staff should not take a cigarette break and then return to table reeking of smoke.....

this is a delightful café/bistro which is wonderfully decorated. After our 1st visit, we talked about it so much that we returned 3 days later. The proprietor's name is Aldo. He was originally from Cuba. He is extremely personable and will spend time chatting with you if you wish. All staff are friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. They offer... More

Oh my goodness, Bettie, I am writing responses to reviews made on Trip Advisor and wanted to thank you for a great review and for taking the time to write it. But, I just realized, that you had just come into Roost to reserve a room for 30 people for a very special function. So thank you, and thank you... More

Where to begin? Suffice it to say the best part of the meal was leaving to get ice cream elsewhere for dessert. My calamari was average at best. The rice served to two others was bland and had no taste. The fish didn't seem fresh or was poorly cooked. When this was a French restaurant a few years ago, all... More

My husband and I had a Delicious and delightful dining experience at Roost. The menu was eclectic, offering something for everyone. The wait staff was excellent which always adds to a wonderful dining experience. We were so pleased with our meal that we booked another reservation so we could bring friends!

We have been fans of Roost for several years and have never been disappointed. Last Sunday's weather drove many locals and visitors to restaurants vs. the beach. We appreciated Rob warning us that service may be a bit slow due to higher than expected volumes. It was well worth the short wait which was eased by the tasty Bloody Mary's.... More

Good Morning Charles and thank you for taking the time to write such a warm review.
