A little pricey but excellent fresh food. A hidden gem

One of the staff members at the inn we were staying at suggested Roost for breakfast. I had the crab cakes eggs benedict with homefries...delicious. My fiance had the lobster omlette. The interior is rustic, welcoming and super clean. I would love to go back for dinner.

We visited Ogunquit in September and did the lobster thing out in Perkins Cove and were a bit underwhelmed with the restaurants there. But then we happened on to Roost, tucked into a curve on the main road through town. No, we didn't have lobster, but what we did have was fabulous. An amazing Cuban sandwich with succulent roasted pork... More

We just got back from a lovely evening at Roost. It's been snowing here, but that didn't stop us from venturing out for dinner. The ambience is cozy, and the staff were delightful. Because we are both gluten free, we can be kind of fussy about getting food that works for us--there were no worries here. Most of the menu... More

This is our favorite place for all sorts of occasions - last minute "date night," birthday celebrations, Mother's Day, "get-outta-town night," - year round it is a terrific venue with outstanding food, drink, and service. We've followed the owners through their prior establishments and this one is the best, by far. Hat's off to Rob and Aldo! My scallops were... More

Went to The Roost this past Saturday for Lunch. Really cool place with a great staff. They had a really nice looking bar area, but we chose the dining room as there was a nice fire going. Martini's were potent and the food was very good. I had a great fish sandwich and the accompanying salad and slaw were excellent.... More

We were a party of 10 , so that might be why, but it shouldn't be. Service very slow, everyone got their meals at different times, mine was last, pasta Alfredo, such an enormous portion, everyone else had finished and their plates were being removed, so my meal was spoilt, it got cold very quickly so I gave up. Would... More

We were saddened when the previous restaurant that was housed in this charming "cottage" closed...but, we are delighted to visit The Roost anytime we are headed in the Ogunquit area. The wait staff is cordial and efficient, the coziness is particularly appreciated as the thermometer drops, and the food from "pub fare" to full on entrees are innovative and delicious!... More

My wife and I had an excellent meal last Saturday evening. The food (more on that later) was very, very good, the service was first-rate and extremely cordial, and the atmosphere is delightful. We've enjoyed breakfast (always terrific) at Roost several times in the past but this is only our second time there for dinner. The Mussels Veracruz appetizer was very... More

A friend and I spent a day in the cozy seaside vacation town of Ogunquit, Maine, early this November. A local recommended this restaurant and we easily found our way by foot from the main area of town. We found a quaint house with many windows. Once inside, we noted the full bar and restaurant seating area. Tables of all... More

We stayed near Perkin's Cove this past weekend and wer headed to walk into town for dinner when the pretty tiny lights of this restaurant caught our attention..... So we went in and headed to the high top tables at the bar. Great service , drinks , suggestions and food! Definitely will be back! Loved the personal attention of our... More
