I had a very negative and disturbing experience at Roost and called the next day to pass along the details. While I had a very thoughtful first conversation with one of the owners (who, I'll admit, promptly called me back), he went on to "investigate" the details. I received one of the craziest, nastiest and completely out of bounds email... More

Do not take your family with kids here, they are not welcome. We actually withdrew our order and left because we had been made to feel so nervous and uncomfortable about having 3 normal-behaving 6 year olds in our party of 6. First, upon arrival at the table, our server waved his hand at in a downward motion at me... More

Food was ok, not a great for the price. Atmosphere & decor was a little darker than I would have liked. Staff was nice & accommodating.

Step into a little French bistro just off the main strip. The menu offers a unique variety of foods ranging American seafood, Italian, Mediterranean and Asian and Latin. I do not mean this in a Cheesecake Factory way, but for example my pan seared cod cakes were accompanied by hearts of Palm, sun dried tomatoes, olives, mixed greens and croutons.... More

We had been very impressed w the Roost last summer. However, our meal this summer was extremely disappointing. Their Pad Thai dish was atrocious. Their other entrees were just passable and very ordinary. I am not sure what happened over the last year. Compared to other local restaurants like Angelina's or Frankie's and Johnny's , the Roost is miles behind.

Roost offered distinctive food in a quiet and charming setting. My family has differing preferences in terms of food and everyone found something they enjoyed that was also reasonably priced.

We rented a nearby condo and Roost was recommended by the owners. We chose to spend our anniversary dinner here. It was fabulous from start to finish. The white and blue farmhouse is attractive on the outside and beautifully decorated on the inside. It has a French country feel to it. The reception was warm and the hostess showed us... More

We enjoyed savory cocktails and dinner while dining at the bar at the Roost. The staff was very friendly. We went there in 2013 and could not wait to try it again in August of 2014. It's a "must" place to drink and or eat if you are in Ogunquit.

My husband, his parents and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the black bean soup for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. I had the Cuban pork for my entree which was also very good. The drinks were stiff and reasonably... More

Our B&B hosts recommended this gem, a bit south of town. Because you need a car to get there it wasn't as crowded as it should have been, given the varied menu and excellent quality. At our B&B hosts' suggestion, we sat in the bar area, giving us access to the wonderful, creative bar appetizers and the delicious dinner entrees.... More
