We were a party of 10 , so that might be why, but it shouldn't be. Service very slow, everyone got their meals at different times, mine was last, pasta Alfredo, such an enormous portion, everyone else had finished and their plates were being removed, so my meal was spoilt, it got cold very quickly so I gave up. Would... More

We were saddened when the previous restaurant that was housed in this charming "cottage" closed...but, we are delighted to visit The Roost anytime we are headed in the Ogunquit area. The wait staff is cordial and efficient, the coziness is particularly appreciated as the thermometer drops, and the food from "pub fare" to full on entrees are innovative and delicious!... More

My wife and I had an excellent meal last Saturday evening. The food (more on that later) was very, very good, the service was first-rate and extremely cordial, and the atmosphere is delightful. We've enjoyed breakfast (always terrific) at Roost several times in the past but this is only our second time there for dinner. The Mussels Veracruz appetizer was very... More

A friend and I spent a day in the cozy seaside vacation town of Ogunquit, Maine, early this November. A local recommended this restaurant and we easily found our way by foot from the main area of town. We found a quaint house with many windows. Once inside, we noted the full bar and restaurant seating area. Tables of all... More

We stayed near Perkin's Cove this past weekend and wer headed to walk into town for dinner when the pretty tiny lights of this restaurant caught our attention..... So we went in and headed to the high top tables at the bar. Great service , drinks , suggestions and food! Definitely will be back! Loved the personal attention of our... More

Am in the area probably 50 days a year and for the first time tried Roost for breakfast. We should have done this sooner. Decor is a rustic chic vibe which is very cozy and the fire in the fireplace only added to that. Menu is excellent with many craftily prepared dishes which were as good as they sound. A... More

From the appletini to the bouillabaisse, The Roost has been a consistent favorite. Held a special charm on Halloween night. A delight!

We were drawn to Roost by its appealing gluten-free menu, as shared on the establishment's website. We did not have reservations, but were seated immediately and treated well by every staff member. They understood that a diner with celiac disease needs to be gluten-safe, not just gluten-free, and met her needs without condescension or cluelessness -- as we have encountered... More

What a gem! On Saturday, we were walking down Shore Rd an decided to check this place out. We were warmly welcomed by a gentleman named Frankie. The three of us were sat right away. Our server, Lisa, was absolutely wonderful. She recommended the Avocado Fries which we had never had. They were incredible. My wife had the Lobster. It... More

It was a dark and stormy night... the first evening after "falling back" to standard time. After a rainy, snowy, windy day - I headed to Roost for dinner at the bar. Warm welcome from Frankie and a good Fall evening meal - chicken pâté as an appetizer and a roasted pork chop for dinner. Accompanied by two glasses of... More
