I brought my two children - ages 7 and 5 - to Ogunquit for a winter weekend getaway. Many of the restaurants were closed but we found the Roost and had breakfast there. The food was amazing - I had a swiss omelet, grilled blueberry muffin, potato cake and bacon. My daughter had the blueberry pancakes and my son a... More

My partner and I scrambled together a last minute wedding in December of 2015. Ron could not have been kinder or more helpful! He provided us with all the information we needed to make good choices and responded quickly to questions. When we arrived, the space was beautifully appointed with mini-white lights, candle sticks filled with sea pebbles, and evergreens.... More

Had a great dinner saturday night 12/19, party of 4. Started at the bar, which is large and very interesting with the tree. It was festively decorated, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Once we sat down in the dining room, the warmth continued both literally and figuratively. We got a table near the large fireplace, which was burning... More

My wife and I were amazed by the Sunday brunch. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and the blueberry pancakes. They were so delicious and huge! Treat yourself if you like pancakes filled with these flavors. Very nice atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable.

We went on a Sunday afternnoon. Our entire experience was awful. The host was not warm or friendly. We sat at the bar and there was an older gentleman bartending. He acted like a beaten puppy. Afraid to smile, or even speak to us. I'm sure he's a nice person, but he's not cut out for this line of work.... More

Good Afternoon Beth, Wow, we are so sorry for your writing about your experience this past Sunday afternoon in such a fashion with us being judged as completely incompetent. We all work very hard at putting out a good product and welcoming our guests, and we are sorry that your experience was not a positive one. But, in complete disclosure,... More

I discovered The Roost at least 4 years ago and have made it a staple to my stay (usually a minimum of 2 separate visits) when I am able to get away. It is consistently great food and terrific staff. This year I tried breakfast for the first time and was blown away! The breakfast menu online does not do... More

On this late October day, there wasn't the plethora of restaurants that are open in the "season". We were very happy to come upon Roost. Charming decor, lots of rooster memorabilia, created a warm feeling. My lunch partner's Cubano sandwich was delicious and generous. It came with delicious sweet potato fries. I had two thick and delicious crabcakes on a... More

This place was cute, comfy and cozy when we walked in. Server was sweet and attentive. The thing we loved about this place is that they have gluten free items on the menu. They have a separate frying section when needed for GF. Pricing seems high when you first look but the portions match the pricing. We shared the GF... More

We stopped in to The Roost this morning for breakfast for the first time and are so happy we did! The decor is warm and charming. Our breakfasts were fantastic! The omelette were perfect and elevated compared to other breakfast restaurants. We will definitely be back!
