I haven't been able to get their blueberry donut out of my mind since I had one. Plus the town is so much nicer than Bar Harbor. Well worth a visit.

We visited Colonel's in September, had no prior knowledge of it but just dashed in to get out of the rain. I am so glad we did. It looks small from the outside but it is not, the restaurant is in the back. Friendly server, lovely wooden booths, and very clean. I had a great grilled chicken sandwich with a... More

Northeast Harbor is such a special place, and this restaurant is also! My wife and I just stopped in for a quick bite for lunch, and we're thrilled we did. The food was excellent, even though we hit it just a couple of days before they closed and they were out of many menu items, what they had was delicious.... More

What a fresh, straightforward restaurant serving wonderfully tasty food! I enjoyed a leaf peeper ale that was light and clean tasting. I savored the absolutely divine apple and acorn squash soup. And then the rows and rows of doughnuts on the way out...had to try a blueberry one. It was wonderful. I also bought a loaf of oatmeal bread to... More

We had a great traditional American breakfast here one morning and an excellent dinner one evening. North East Harbour is a very small harbour town so the choice is limited but you could easily just eat in this establishment for the week. Portions good, food fresh and tasty, staff efficient and friendly, and prices fair so try it, but go... More

We really enjoyed the Colonel's in Northeast Harbor. Service was very good the first day with Robert as our server. Fast, attentive, and very friendly. The omelets are very good as are the pancakes. The homemade bread from the bakery was terrific! Coffee was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Blueberry doughnuts, little on the expensive side but they were so good no one cared. The chocolate doughnuts were also good, but the blueberry ones were the stars of the show.
