I like the seafood shack feel and our service was good. The steamers were on special and were excellent. Daughter got the mozzarella sticks that are hand made and she liked them. The beers were cold with some nice Maine selections. My corn was good The lobster rolls had good amount of meat but were watery. I think the haddock... More

Lovely place for lunch. The lobster roll lived up to expectations. We also highly recommend the meatball parm. The bill added up quickly.

My family and I stopped here after a boat tour mainly because it was close to the dock. It looks like a cute seafood shack type of place. First of all, if you have a group larger than 6 you may have to sit at separate tables as they only have one large one. Those of us who got seafood... More

If you value your experience in Maine and want to enjoy the food Mount Desert Island has to offer do not go to the Docksider in Northeast Harbor. The food is nasty, undercooked, seafood not fresh, staff irritable, mean, nasty and unaccomodating to customers needs. Even the owner a bleached blond heavy set woman who acted like the world revolved around her, she... More

I always look forward to going to the docksider upon my arrival in the Cranberry Islands. a delicious lobster roll , french fried onion rings, steamers Yummm--what can be better? Like any seasonal restaurant they have limited staff, summer hires and are sometimes slow and/or inaccurate (for instance server forgot to charge us for anything but the drinks and appetizers... I've been coming to Northeast Harbor, ME for the last 6 years with my girlfriend, then fiancee and now wife. Her family has deep roots in the community both as summer and year round residents and they all said to me DO NOT go to the Docksider because of 'bad food and worse service'. Today I decided to roll the... More

Stopped here after a boat tour out of NE Harbor. It was close and convenient and had outdoor seating on a nice day. The portions were generous (GIANT haddock sandwich) and the food was OK, but nothing to write home about. A pretty basic place, no views, and the cost was typical (meaning a bit high).

Stopped her by random chance. Simply put, the best lobster roll on Mount Desert Island. My wife had a massive and tasty meatball sub, and the fresh cut fries were crispy and pleasant. The real surprise however, was the mozzarella sticks. They are homemade, massive, crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and delicious. Unexpected in Maine.

Classic Maine seafood restaurant, very casual. Good food, but a little pricey (you are in Northeast Harbor afterall) The onion rings are the best for miles and miles! I hope they never change the way they make them. I love the seafood, and they cook it right.
