Nice views

The view was spectacular sitting outside overlooking the harbor was a great way to spend part of the afternoon. We went to lunch and the food was normal bar type but good.

Grew up there and it used to be THE place to eat lunch and dinner and get ice cream. Been on the skids for about 15 years. Sad...

It's called Docksider but does not sit on the water or have water views. Like many others are saying the service is slooooooow. The waitress was nice but they were not packed or slammed when we arrived for lunch. The food was not worth the asking price. I'd go find another place to eat before I'd go here again.

We sat outside and enjoyed a bowl of clam chowder and delicious, fresh lobster roll. The blueberry pie was this best we've ever tasted!

Our boat tour of Mt. Dessert Island docked for a lunch break and there weren't a lot of options. Docksider was one of two places recommended by our guide. The place is quaint and very small with indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff is friendly; the food is average. Service was painfully slow. Our waitress was apologetic and explained... More

An apologetic waitress took or orders and explained that the owner had bailed for the day. We sat and sat and sat with many other lunch customers. Our fries and rings were congealed by the time they got to our table and inedible. The high priced seafood was skimpy and cooling fast. Too bad, this place used to be a... More

We stopped for lunch. Very quaint, basic place and my wife and I sat in a pleasant outside area. Service was very friendly and the lobster roll (my wife) and haddock sandwich (yours truly) were both excellent. Clam chowda was good but not great. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go back if we're back in the... More

While visiting Northeast harbor via sailboat, we were looking for a nice break for the galley cook. The service was pleasant and timely but the food just fair to middling. We had the cold gazpacho soup which had plenty of raw veggies but little flavor. The mussels were a bit overcooked and lacked that delicious broth that we all like... More

Fun place to stop for lunch! We rode our bikes there before getting on the Sea Princess for a cruise. I had a delicious and very healthy broccoli, cauliflower and sunflower seed salad while my husband had a delicious lobster roll. The atmosphere was terrific....very "Maine".

We had taken the mail boat over to the Cranberry Islands in the morning, and we were somewhat hungry on our return, so we wandered into the Docksider. Adorable little place...we ordered some scallops that were absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. They were cooked in beef tallow, which is clearly mentioned on the menu. If you remember the... More
