Just like Jordan Pond used to be!

The Asticou Inn and Restaurant is now run by the former operaters of Jordon Pond restaurant who ran Jordan Pond for 80 years before losing the renewal bid to a company from New Mexico. The popovers are the original recipe from the old Jordan Pond days and the food is superb. The service is as... read more

A group of us went to Asticou Inn today for lunch. The restaurant is now run by the Acadia Corporation, who used to run Jordan Pond House for 80 years but lost their lease, and it was fabulous. The view is wonderful and popovers were high and hot! Very important to popover lovers. Servers were so pleasant and accommodating and... More

Whether you sit inside near the window or on the deck, the views of the water are wonderful. The building and grounds were very nice. The server was okay not overly friendly but efficient. As for the food... the popovers were just like at Jordon Pond- awesome! The lobster rolls were just average. The biggest shock was the $85 price... More

We had breakfast here and the view and ambiance was amazing. Great place to enjoy a breakfast on a sunny and warm morning. Service was wonderful. The food was good, not great, but average breakfast fare. The setting makes this an attractive place for a meal.

We went to Asticou Restaurant for "afternoon tea" on a Sunday. After waiting for over half an hour, we were seated on the deck overlooking the pool and harbor. The setting is lovely and the service after being seated was very attentive. However, I was expecting to enjoy "English afternoon tea" with scones, petite sandwiches and little sweets. What Asticou... More

Asticou is a lovely setting for a summer lunch. Highly recommend eating outdoors with a waterside view. The menu from Jordon Pond House years ago has returned and is the same as we fondly remember. The popovers were perfection!

On a recent stay in NEH, my wife and I went to the Asticou to try out the tea and popovers on a rainy afternoon and were so impressed that we returned for dinner the following night. Both the popovers and the dinner (lobster and pistachio encrusted salmon) were terrific and the setting couldn't have been better overlooking the harbor... More

Stopped here for some lunch today, couldn't get a seat on the terrace but had a window table so we could see the lovely view. We both had Lobster Quiche which was superb and I followed that with a Popover filled with Ice Cream and topped with chocolate sauce. For the unknowing a Popover is like a Yorkshire Pudding, sounds... More

The inn itself is located on a beautiful cove, and the restaurant (which is now managed by the team who had owned the historic Jordan Pond House) is a great spot for a special lunch or dinner. While the dining room is a little formal, the outside deck which also overlooks the cove, is casual. We often visit one of... More
