The inn itself is located on a beautiful cove, and the restaurant (which is now managed by the team who had owned the historic Jordan Pond House) is a great spot for a special lunch or dinner. While the dining room is a little formal, the outside deck which also overlooks the cove, is casual. We often visit one of... More

After learning that the Acadia Corp had left Jordan Pond House and taken over managing Asticou, we decided to have lunch there on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The inn is full of character from the moment you take the first step up to the porch you are transported to the 1940's. The very large front porch has comfy seating and... More

Super views from the patio. We stopped here for drinks after visiting the gardens across the street. Stopped for a drink, stayed for a meal, plan on coming back for a nice dinner. This is an older inn and they have managed to keep some original decor... Or they were careful to reproduce it. Lovely.

The Asticou is the essence of the era of vacationing at elegant, old inns. It occupies a commanding position overlooking Northeast Harbor - the view from the back is outstanding! The food was delicious (just wish there were more seafood options) and service was very friendly and helpful. Apparently the people who used to do the popovers at Jordan Pond... More

Since the change in management last summer, the Asticou is nice again...really quite wonderful. Yes, it is a bit pricey but the setting is one of the very best in New England! Pleasant and efficient waitstaff made us feel welcome and had great customer service skills. Varied menu, much like their previous property at the Jordan Pond House in Acadia.... More

I lived in Northeast Harbor for last two summers and I can say that service and value of restaurant in Asticou are on top level. Food is delicious, view is wonderful, and servers and restaurant managers do their best to provide good service. I heard that a lot of people complain about bad wifi internet, and true that can be... Since Acadia Corporation took over this has gone from good to great. The menu is more diverse, and the popovers are wonderful. The view is good as ever and the service is superior!

We ate lunch here after touring nearby gardens - (Thuya and Asticou Azalea Gardens.) There's a lovely and spacious dining-room, with attentive service by keen, if unprofessional, youngsters working for the summer. It's a charming place and the food was fine. Lunch here is a nice end to morning outing.

Since the Acadia Corporation has stepped in to run the restaurant it is reminiscent of the Jordon Pond House. Had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent. I am looking forward to going back to sit on the deck and enjoy more popovers in the sun.
