Place is for sale since last summer. We stopped by last June and they had not reopened for the season. I hope someone reopens this charming spot. The location, on Sea street, coming down the hill toward the harbor in Northeast, is very special. I love the al fresco dining area, overlooking the marina and town dock.

...over the course of a couple visits here. The setting is pretty, especially if you sit on the porch and take in the sweeping view down to the harbor. It's also pleasant to eat at the little bar there. Inside -- the restaurant is in an old house -- it's a little more cluttered. On our first visit, we were... More

Restaurant is no more. Closed for season and, presumably, for good. Great sadness.

This restaurant has the best food in Northeast Harbor and is generally excellent. This year they enlarged the rear bar area and got a good bartender. The cocktails and mixed drinks are first rate, and generous in their size. The wine list though only a page long could do with some editing but has some gems and is farily priced... More

My wife and I really like this place, on the whole, but the diverse opinions in other reviews accurately reflect an annoying inconsistency in what can be a truly fine dining experience. The food has generally been of unusually high quality for us, but that's not to say they haven't occasionally had a dud. I'd place the kitchen in the... More

We loved it so much that we had three dinners there. We plan to go back next week. The food was light, good and even with a small menu the choices were very good. Service was good, we sat outside and it was very pleasant. Jean Sealy Canada

This was our least pleasurable dining experience on Mount Desert Island. The restaurant only offered four entrees. One pasta dish, one chicken dish, steak, and halibut. We chose halibut and were informed that they had already run out at 7pm. The service was snooty. During our stay on Mount Desert Island we dined at Red Sky in Southwest Harbor, Asticou... More

This a great restaurant. Really interesting well thought out menu with lots of choices. Very modern euro food beautifully presented with excellent service. Some of the most interesting desert combinations we have ever had .

We just returned from a visit to Redbird Provisions and we were very dissapointed with dinner. We both got the arugula salad and it had absolutely no flavor. Of course it did not help that the wait staff never offered pepper. The salad was very small and they did not even serve a slice of bread. The dinners were over... More

The elevated outside seating is particularly charming, even though near a parking area. The menu is more innovative than the usual Maine summer fare, which we also love. The wine list is brief and well chosen, not your standard distributor's list. We will definitely return if we get back to Mt Desert Island.
