Cool atmosphere. Often has live music. Tables in several different rooms - all rustic ski decor. Nachos are good and plentiful. Actually almost everything we've ordered over the years has come in Large portions. Garlic knots are also a good starter. Decent selection of entree sized salads, pizzas, entrees. Some vegetarian options. Really like the pizzas - especially build your... More

This is an excellant spot. The hostess was very accomodating even though we weren't sure of the exact amount of people who would be joining us she gave us a large table just in case everyone showed up. Our waitress was so nice and accomodating throughout our dinner even though 8 extra people showed up. For appetizers we shared the... More

The Matterhorn is a huge place, with barn/warehouse architecture, random ski and pop culture decorations, colored lights, and lots of noisy electronic games (to keep the children occupied.) There is a nice energy to the place, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food was good, although more expensive than other places we at in the resort area. (The... More

Took the family there this past week to enjoy great pizza. Have been eating at the Matterhorn for years. The pizza is different. Not sure what happened. Much thicker than before. Still good but not the great pizza we have come to love. Waitress was wonderful as always - so glad the staff is still the same friendly amazing group!

We recently ate dinner at the Matterhorn. Great pizzas and an incredible selection of draft beer. We were with our two daughters and they found plenty to eat on the menus. It is a very lively place and some very enjoyable live music. It is definitely a big group type of place. Overall, a good ski area place with good... More

We went here while staying in Sunday River for the weekend. The place was packed with people après skiing and having a great time. This place definately has the european apres ski look and feel! We had one of their signature cocktails (anti freeze?), appetizer and a pizza. Great place and recommended for people who like to have a good... More

This is a restaurant we visit each time we ski at Sunday River. We look forward to it all year! The pizza is fabulous - brick oven, creative toppings, a fabulous choice of sauces. On Tuesdays they do "$5.00 pizza night." Can't be beat. Also great is their chalet salad. What I would not order are their pasta dishes. The... More
