You don't have to drive to the coast for good lobster. Great service and very friendly crew! Lovely end to our vacation. Mussels delicious and fried cams too.

My husband and I eat fried seafood platters only once or twice per year so we are very picky when choosing which restaurant to go to for our special treat. I have to say this was one of the best fried seafood meals we have had. The seafood was cooked to perfection and you cannot beat the Maine sea scallops.... More

My husband, sister and I stumbled in here after long flights into Bangor from TN and Chicago. We were looking for something easy and good and I used my trusty Trip Advisor app to find likely candidates. Since this looked easy to find off the interstate on our way to Clinton, we gave it a whirl. Now, I can be... More

The old log cabin restaurant in Newport, Maine has always been famous for it's large meals at reasonable prices. The new management (now Angler's) is carrying on the same tradition. I ordered the prime rib and it was huge and well cooked. My wife enjoyed the lobster salad. We even broke tradition and ordered pie. What a treat. The locals... More

This was my first visit to the Newport Angler's, which is in the location of the former Log Cabin Restaurant. Although our french fries were slightly undercooked (which was immediately remedied), the food here seems to be up to the same high standard of the Searsport and Hampden locations. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. It's so nice to... More

We had a delicious haddock meal here last week. The service was excellent. The place stays very busy so get here early if you are coming for dinner. We did not have to wait for a table. The portions were generous even though we ordered the "minnow" size. It was more than enough and we got a take home box... More

Excellent seafood, well prepared and served. Angler's is a simple restaurant, not at all pretentious or fancy, but with good food. I've eaten there alone, and with as many as 10 people, they seem to take it all in stride and provide good service. The home made desserts are good, if you manage to save room for one.

On our way home from Canada. They had an all you can eat fish fry. One of us had that topping out at 7 pieces of fish while I had what was called the minnow portion with 3 pieces. This was the freshest, best tasting fish that we had all week. The portions were more than generous and the coleslaw... More

Got a hankering for something fried, greasy and with large portions at a decent price? You've found it! With a typical family setting and no-frills service, I wasn't sure what would be served on our plates. Although the restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening, we received our fried fish meals within 15-20 minutes and weren't disappointed. We would return... More

Went for dinner with our family for a U of Maine graduation celebration. Very busy but we were seated quickly and service was excellent. Very good food with special attention given to the children in the group----their food served in a "boat" and free ice cream dessert!
