Fried fish done right

This is not fine dining. This is a fried fish joint done right. I was impressed that my haddock came with choices - not the automatic French fries, but a choice of mashed and baked. And not the automatic cole slaw to go with it, either. I picked green beans for my vegetable and was mildly... read more

This place has wonderful fried seafood and a good staff. The prices are reasonable and if you want Maine clams, lobster, lobster roll etc this would be an ideal stop. I take my 94 year old friend here yearly for his birthday dinner.

Excellent food great service the waitress was more than accommodating. The seafood platter was large enough for 2 or more people and better than any I've had in a long time I would highly recommend this establishment to others

We get to this area of Maine in the spring and in the summer and would not even think of not making at least one visit to Angler's. The steak, the seafood, chicken tenders - it's all good. I highly recommend the deep fried pickles! The service is very good and the staff are friendly.

Okay. Hard to find. Locals all said it was the "fancier place " to go to..LOL. its a crooked cabin made into a diner. Server was nice..but too casual..she basically sat w us and told us her life story...a little much for me. Rough. Food was delicious. I ordered lobster stew..it was FULL of lobster claws...but at $19.99 it should... More

years ago this place was called the log cabin and was. Great. For fried clams but not if you can wait until you get to Bangor your better off. You won't really find much wrong with your small portion meal but the value is not there anymore

Our daughter is a local so she insisted we check this place out. We did a couple of times, in fact! Seafood needs to be prepared properly and they have it figured out precisely here. Fried clams, chowdah, scallops, haddock-- all delightful and delicious. Very generous portions. A real family place, so it gets busy and the service suffers a... More

My husband frequent this restaurant often. They are noted for their seafood, but they also have steak, chicken, etc. The quality of the food is very good and the prices are at par. Casual dining, the people are very friendly and their is plenty of parking spaces. You may have to wait a few minutes, but it's worth the wait.... More
