This was a great dining experience. I ordered the chicken tenders and there were definite enough to have two meals. Our server was great and took care of everything quickly and made sure we had an awesome time. I will look forward to eating there every time I head to Maine. Oh, and the food was... read more

Place was hopping, we waited about 30 minutes. Travis served our delicious seafood meal promptly. The seafood was delicious, well prepared and served, prices were surprisingly reasonable. Atmosphere was friendly, warm, attentive. It's our favorite seafood restaurant and they never fail to deliver. 5 stars all around!!!

My husband and I were heading south on I-95 from Bangor and found ourselves hungry near the Newport area. I looked on tripadvisor and the Anglers restaurant had great reviews. We were so happy that we stopped. :-) The food was great ... the service was awesome. We had the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they were awesome. (Very... More

Visit Anglers on a regular basis, always good food. Portion size are very good and they offer smaller plate sizes for the smaller appetites. The seafood is always fresh no matter what choice you order. Average on the appearance but clean and the prices are very good!

Its casual diner style...very relaxed. Most of the menu is fried..but NOT ALL. I ordered the grilled haddock and it was h7ge..but bland. Basic haddock thrown on the grill.cooked...thats it... dry and flavorless. I guess if i wanted more flavor i should have ordered something else. There was 4 Large filets of fish...couldnt eat half of it (actually due to... More

Well I was late for lunch and early for dinner but that didn't bother the staff at this location. I had already stopped at the Hampden location 2 days prior and had no reservations trying this location as well. Great food and Service here as well.

Ate at this restaurant twice (both lunch & dinner) while visiting friends in mid-Maine, as it's a favorite of theirs. Delicious seafood, freshly caught & cooked to perfection. Portions are generous but love having leftovers. Prices are reasonable. Be prepared for a possible wait as this is a popular place with locals.

First the good: I chose a mix plate of local specialties: fried smelt and Maine shrimp with onion rings and fried green beans: excellent! Ate more than I should have just because. They also had a good selection of local micro-brews. Now the bad: my wife said the lobster roll was bad, with lobster that was spongy and water-logged. So... More

Who ever heard of Crabmeat stuffed Tomato? If you're a crabmeat lover, it's a must try special. This dish was served with a side, too many sides for me to remember. I went with squash (very delicious). My husband had a Rueben sandwich seved with onion rings. A really great selection of seafood. And much more. Many Daily Specials Appetizers,... More
