It's not cheap and much of the food is fried, but it's a great place to sit outside and enjoy the summer. The charm is in the lack of charm. Self serve, but friendly and informative folks at the counter. Busy atmosphere.

Shaw's is a very special place to us. We live near Memphis, Tenn. and love Maine so much. A trip to Maine is not complete until we've been to Shaw's. the delicious fresh lobster is unparalleled. the view is spectacular. Not fancy but who needs fancy wtih food that good! We are hooked for life. Not too far from there... More

Have your lobster/seafood outdoors on the deck in one of Maine's most beautiful fishing harbors if the weather's nice. The indoor space is very large and can be noisy if crowded. Shaw's has a wine and beer license.

We've been going the Maine coast every year for the past 10 years and Shaw's has been one of our favorite staples. Their lobster roll is the best we've ever had...so tender and perfectly cooked. We always ask for drawn butter on the side. My better half is a huge fan of the fried clams. They have delicious pies that... More

The wait staff were friendly and willing to help out even though we arrived close to closing. Order at the counter and be prepared for ample portions. Our party had the lobster dinner consisting of one maine lobster and 1 and 1/2 pounds of steamed clams, the clam dinner of 3 pounds of clams, a Maine shrimp plate, and the... More

Service was good and fairly speedy but the food was only mediocre compared to other restaurants in the area! My husband had a steamed lobster that must have been the minimum size that was legal although tasty and I had steamed clams that were ok. Pumpkin beer was good as was the autumn beer

This was a memorable lunch indeed! Nothing fancy here, just superb seafood simply prepared, and exquisite views from the waterside outdoor upper deck, which had ample tables and the requisite rolls of paper towels. The lobster roll was absolutely delicious, hugely heaped with lobster chunks. Best one on the whole trip!

My wife and I love Shaw's. The views of New Harbor are hard to beat - check out the lobster boats unloading and the activity in the harbor makes this place entertaining. My favorites are the fried clams and and fried oyster (yum!). Fried calimari is the best. It is worth saving up your fried foods points to spurge there.... More

Beautiful harbor and was fun to watch the lobster boats unload. The lobster was cooked well but I must say that the stand out for me was the onion rings. They were lightly breaded and not greasy and you get a large portion (plenty for 2 people) for $2.50. A good place to to get something to eat after visiting... More

Everyone walked by and said "what is that?" Just the best salad without all the work of picking the lobstah clean...I'm just saying!
