Surprising and wonderful place in Naples!

I just ate at the Black Bear cafe again for the second time in the last two years. I do have to say that the first meal I had there was much better. The dinner I had a few nights ago was good but not great. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly but the little potatoes were hard.... read more

The pub is a fun place with terrific owners, good music most nights and great food. Best place to find a "little bit of Ireland" in the Lakes region.

Good parking area. Crowded so we knew it would be good eating. Ambiance was terrific. Irish pub-like. Great service. Food was delicious. They were very accommodating. Live music with a vocalist and instrument musician. Terrific way to end the day.

Thank you very much for your feedback, the good and the not so good, which will be shared with the proper staff, because it is important to get this right. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the ambiance, which gets tweaked all the time and the musicians bring yet another nourishing touch of soulful Irish tunes. Thank you again. More

I'd like to add that Mr. Bohill picked up the tab for your entire table that night. Thankfully the other 325 guests that evening had a better experience. More

This is a small place but don't let the size fool you. Wonderful service and exceptional food. Leave room for desert or plan on taking it home....they are terrific!

We go back here summer after summer. Owner is on the premises and seats people efficiently and with good humor. Fish and chips. Shepherd's Pie. Specialty pizza of the day. All delicious. And great music on the weekends.

We went with our 3 little kids and got seated right next to the musician. We were worried either we would disrupt him or him us, but it worked out great. Fun music, really good food, fun place. Everything was good, but the shepherds pie was outstanding. Not traditional, definitely a higher class version. Excellent.

The Black Bear not only has great food but also wonderful Irish musicians on weekends. Their fish and chips is the best around the area. Although it is small inside it is cozy and one can usually find a seat at the bar. John and Susan, the owners, are wonderful hosts and John, from Ireland, can often be found cooking... More
