Great place to stay and eat

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant 4 times. Food is good but Kerrie the waitress is awesome. Love the friendly, family atmosphere.

Ruthie is great and her restaurant offers great variety of food deliciously prepared. Atmosphere is pleasant. The fireplace going in the winter adds great ambiance! Great for locals and families, couples, and singles visiting the area.

Years ago, "Ruthie's" was located closer to the highway exit. Then it closed down. We were thrilled to find that Ruthie had reopened a new restaurant in Millinocket, a place my friends and I travel to each summer. The breakfast is amazing!! Highlights include the egg-and-bacon biscuit, pancakes, and homemade raspberry muffins and homemade donuts. My friends and I stopped... More

I had the whole belly clam dinner with french fries and cole slaw. My companion had the half scallops/half clam dinner with baked potato and green beans. We both had tea. The dinners were served with 2 slices of hot, homemade bread. The portions were so big, we didn't have room for dessert. We will definitely come back here the... More

Never made it past the list of specials at the front door. I am a sucker for specials containing seafood before even seeing the menu. A bowl of oyster stew with an enormous biscuit(which I had to give up to the rest of our party) and it was delicious. Followed by their fried oyster dinner with a heap of mashed... More

We stayed at the Hotel for 5 nights while on a snowmobiling trip and had many of our meals in the restaurant. Good down home cooking. Breakfast was very good every morning. Dinner was ok to good. My only complaint was they were under staffed almost everytime we were there. The food came out quickly once the order was put... More
