Checked lobster tank on each visit hoping for new arrival and lo and behold, here they were. 4 of them, no chix. I ordered the lobster(2 lbers)with steamers and was not disappointed. Done to perfection and service as always was excellent whether in the bar or the dining room. Homemade desserts, soups add to the meal. Fresh fried seafood or... More

We are moving to Millinocket and decided to try the Scootic In for dinner. The restaurant was filled to capacity but we were fortunate to get a booth with no wait. Something was going on locally, possibly a snowmobiler's rally, and we thought for sure we would get a poor meal and would wait forever. My husband specifically wanted steamers... More

Excellent place to eat. It was a Friday night and the place was packed. Still had no problem finding parking or a table. Service was fast and food was extremely good at a great cost. Highly recommend.

I've been to Millinocket 3 years in a row for snowmobiling and have dined at the Scootic many times. Good value, good food and they have trail access for snowmobilers. I highly recommended the Scootic. Food is consistently good!

Really local joint which is what you want when you're from out of town! Great soups and spinach dip. The chefs salads were enormous and the blue cheese dressing was very good.

Though it seems that every local resident we asked for a restaurant recommendation told us about the Scootic - "large salads, good wine selection, something for everyone..." our experience there (the service and the atmosphere) was unpleasant and strange. The moment we walked in we were rushed into a dark booth and pressured by the waitress about what we wanted... More

We were looking for a quick meal and went here based on recommendation from a local. Had lobster rolls, which were good, and clam chowder which was just OK. Quick and friendly service, reasonably priced.

We ate here a few times while in the area. First problem is their calzones. A calzone has mozarella and more importantly ricotta cheese. They do not use ricotta. It was more like a folded piece of pizza. dreadful. My husband ordered pasta as a side order and a very confused waitress served it without sauce. My fettucine alfredo was... More

Good "home-cooked" food. Plenty to choose form on the menu. The triple chocolate pie will give you a sugar high.

All of the locals we spoke with recommended Scootic Inn as having the best Lobster in the Millinocket area...we were not disappointed. My wife chose the whole lobster while I enjoyed a Lobster casserole. Both were great (although my wife seemed to be having more fun eating her whole lobster!). The service was excellent and our food was delivered quickly.... More
