Friendly folks serving Maine Lobster in a great setting...

I met my friends (seacoast residents of Maine) for a traditional Maine Lobster Shack meal. This place did not disappoint. They're a family operation and take what they do seriously. The lobster dinner included corn-on-the-cob, a good biscuit, fries and our hard shell lobster (my Maine friend asked... read more

Mediocre lobster rolls and fried fish among other things. We would have traveled longer were most places not closing, but came here on a whim and were sorry to do so.

Ridiculously high prices for what you get, $12 for a bowl of the worst clam chowder I've ever had. Not only the worst in Maine or New England, worse than any I've ever had. I had a lobster roll and chowder. The amount of meat on the roll was the the skimpiest I had on the trip and again the... More

My friend and I stopped at McLaughlin's today with our kids after a day in Camden. We both got the lobster dinner, as we'd been thinking of that all day. The kids got burgers and chicken fingers. The lobster was good, as were the burgers, chicken, and fries. However, there was not much to the lobster (soft-shell). And the dinner... More

McLaughlin's is all about traditional Maine comfort food - fried clams, fish, lobster and chowders - they have it all. You can eat inside or outside on the lawn at picnic tables. Your view of the harbor and beach provide a perfect setting on a nice evening. There is a covered outdoor area as well. Around back and steps away... More

Rocky Lincolnville Beach is a Maine classic, made all the better by the opportunity to eat at McLaughlin's. Not cheap, but consistently good New England seafood, served in a rustic setting overlooking a gorgeous bay. I love their fried haddock tacos! Always seems to be a nice breeze on a sunny day, and it's a lovely place to chat both... More

A beachfront restaraunt that accurately calls itself a "shack". The seafood is good, but the prices are ridiculous. Tacky fast food type of atmosphere. Probably, the worst value in the area.

Lobster was delicious and the picnic area overlooking the water and the boats was beautiful. More expensive then I expected, though

One of the things I really appreciated about McLaughlin's is the fact that it offered an authentic atmosphere for a truly great lobster roll. I was a little surprised that some folks didn't have the positive experience I had. To be honest, the roll had the freshest, most tender lobster I've found for a place like this. There was a... Drove past on the way from Portland to Bar Harbor. Fish sandwich was ok, prefer a saltier batter. Lobster was pre-cracked which was nice! Meat was kinda small. Was$27 for 1.25 lb lobster and fish sandwich. Eh
