Great choice of seafood !!

Fish sandwiches, fries, onion rings, biscuits. coleslaw and 2 lobster ales enjoyed outside at a picnic bench in the small grassy area at the side with a great view of the sandy bay - a great way to stuff yourself to bursting !! We'll be back again.

This "shack" place was recommended by our inn keepers. Great fresh cooked lobster with corn on the cob and very tasty fries. This is a rustic no frills place but very clean. Friendly service. Easy to find location with views of the water. Most reasonably priced too.

This place literally is a lobster "shack", very rustic both outside and in, and I LOVED it!!! You just can't ask for much better; a great lobster dinner, reasonably priced, right on the water, on a rainy, blustery afternoon. It was perfect, really. I want to come back!!!

This was a great place to order your lobster roll and hang out on the beach. You place your order at the counter (grab a beer) go outside and wait for your number to be called. We ordered a lobster roll and the homemade onion rings. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they let us sample the draft beers... More

Good place for lobsters or steamed clams, and the chowder can be good, but the menu offers primarily fried seafood. Nice view from the picnic tables.

McLaughlin's served up an absolutely delicious steamed Lobstah (Maine spelling) and sides. Patio seating faced a beautiful cove and beach with which to enjoy our meal. the menu also included a choice of craft and local beers.

My hubby and I stopped here on our way back to Portland after a trip to Bar Harbor We were surprised to find their lobster stew to have a very generous amount of lobster meat. I opted for a burger (after a week of seafood I was ready for red meat!), their burger was great, and very large. The outdoor... More

No frills but nice setting! Sit outdoors overlooking the ocean on a gorgeous September evening eating lobster? Why not? My lobster was great and my husband had the clam chowder and a scallop roll that he enjoyed as well. Would go back when in the area.

Driving up to Bar Harbor on Route 1 we had planned on stopping at two different lobster shacks but they were closed. We found McLaughlin's on Trip Advisor, called ahead to make sure they were open and were pleased with our find! Though a little pricey as is usually the case with fresh seafood, we loved our selections. First of... More
