Great little vegan cafe/pub with good local beers and decent wine. Add music and independent cinema and you have an excellent informal, local place to hang or to meet folks. TOTALLY recommend!

Fun entertainment in the evenings, but also a great place for lunch or light dinner. Cozy, good value, healthy choices.

Excellent homemade sandwiches, salads, craft beer, coffee served from the counter by young trendy folks. Live music some nights. Exposed brick walls with local art and music memorabilia. This place could be in Portland or even a Big City.

Since my first visit to "Guthries" about a year ago, it has become a favorite stop when I am in Lewiston. I am usually traveling alone, when in Lewiston, and this is the kind of place where you feel very comfortable going in alone, and/or getting take out to bring back to my hotel. Their menu continues to feature a... More

I was very underwhelmed by this place. It came highly recommend, so I took my dad there for lunch. The menu sounded amazing so I was excited, Lewiston is not the capital of good food. It was WAY overpriced, took an hour and a half for the food to come, the food was bland, and the cookie we split for... More

This is a wonderful small eatery with food prepared with what appears to be great pride and care. The wait staff is excellent, and they also prepare the food. Our salad was excellent along with a perfect wrap. Beer and wine available. Street parking makes it tough. Vegan plates also a real treat. A lunch time treat. Check on hours... More

This is a wonderful place to have lunch with co workers or friends and family. I like their health soups and sandwiches. If your on a time crunch for lunch you can get in and out quickly if needed. I like to enjoy lunch with great conversations with my lunch partner.

Just walking in you'll know that you've found something special at Guthries. The young owners' (Heather & Randy) personalities are expressed in the whole vibe of the space. It's laid back. It's fresh with attitude. It's everything you wanted and didn't know you wanted in a restaurant. Combine the feeling of a coffee house hosting a poetry slam with a... More

Our tour guide at Bates was was filled with enthusiasm when we asked about a spot for lunch -- the options all sounded great! -- but she said something about great kale at Guthries, and that's not something you hear every day. So we scouted it out, and tried the spicy kale salad, and it was something new under the... More
