Still the best

Whenever I am near Kittery, ME, I head to Chauncey Creek.. lobster in the rough. You can jazz it up by bringing a tablecloth, special sides, and a good bottle of wine or a few beers. The lobster is always great and if you arrive early enough you can usually get a parking place.

This was our second time and has now become a major stop when we go to maine. If you want lobster in maine this is the place to be! The service is great and the atmosphere perfect. It's BYOB so don't forget to bring a drink with you.

First off we read great reviews on this place. We arrived at 12pm for lunch and we ordered a lobster roll, crab roll and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp where frozen from a bag that you can buy from any supplier. If you are eating at a local place on the water you would expect them to be home made.... More

I am lucky enough to recall being a young girl tagging along with my mother and grandmother to Chauncey Creek for a "girls day out". Years of memories made to now be a mother of two making more memories at Chauncey Creek. My grandmother has since passed, and I know she is smiling knowing that we haven't forgotten to continue... Chauncey Creek was recommended by some friends, so dinner there was our plan after flying into the Manchester Airport in the afternoon. We knew it was BYOB, but we mistakenly thought we'd see a grocery or some place to buy some wine on the way there or nearby. Unfortunately we did not, but the people at the next picnic table... If you are a lobster or fried seafood lover, put this place on your bucket list. A pier on the creek a few miles out of Kittery, put your bib on for the freshest lobster you will ever find. My girlfriend goes nuts over the popcorn shrimp. If you are in the area and the weather is nice, Chauncey Creek... More

On my way up to Maine or back to Boston, I have stopped and dined at Chauncey Creek many times. This time was equally as wonderful. Note: By reading other reviews, you know the type of restaurant so I'll focus my review on a few specifics... It's BYOB. Most people bring beer and wine in coolers. Don't be shy bc... More

We had a wonderful lunch here on our summer tour of New England. We brought a few beers and some veggies we had in our cooler per the advice of other reviewers. All four of us had lobster, which was fantastic and couldn't be any fresher. It is very casual, yet the staff was friendly and helpful. Would make a... More

The boats drive up the river to the restaurant and sell their catch of the day, which the restaurant sells that day. It cam be a bit expensive for a family, but delicious. They have a regular menu if you prefer not to have lobster- chicken fingers, dogs, etc. Well done.
