The trip to Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier was made with great anticipation. It was my first time in New England and I'd never had a lobster roll. This place was recommended. The setting is wonderful; an area with picnic tables, a sign to BYOB, and a beautiful New England day. I ordered at the window, lobster roll, baked beans and... More

A family member sent us here. Not sure we ever would have stumbled across it but glad we came. BYOB...always nice. But the lobsters are what it's really about. They were fabulous as were the steamers and the onion rings. We will definitely come back again. It's the best lobster pound this side of Portland.

We found this restaurant on our way up to NB and stopped by on our way back. It has a liberal carry in policy. People bring in coolers with wine and their own food for family members who don't like lobster. On our first visit my husband had their pizza. On our second trip he made his own sandwich. They... If you want lobster, lobster and nothing but lobster, Chauncey's is the place to go. Pick the size, pick the gender and pick hard or soft shell. It is the freshest and best lobster in the area. We have been to Chauncey's several times over the last few years and keep coming back. My husband has determined that the perfect... More

We stumbled across Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier a number of years ago while out on a leisurely ride of the area on a holiday weekend. The place was absolutely packed, so we decided to try it out another time. Once I had the chance to eat here, I liked it, and have gone back once every Summer for the last... More

. . . Unfortunately, it does not provide quality or value for lobster. First, love the setting - the restaurant is kind of like a barge sitting on a peaceful body of water. The tables are picnic benches that are comfortable and perfect for this type of restaurant (photos). However, the lobsters just do not measure up. Our two lobsters... More

For those looking for a lobster-in-the-rough experience, Chauncey Creek is somewhat upscale. It sits in a picturesque spot along the creek of the same name. It is clean, colorful, and has nice picnic table seating both under cover and outside. A server brings your cooked order to your table. The prices seem high for just boiling your lobster and serving... More

This is how you enjoy a lobster in Maine. Sitting outside by the water, my wife and I enjoyed a perfect summer day with lobster. All the people were friendly and the food perfectly cooked. This is a trip worth taking! When shopping in Kittery eat here instead of one of those tourist traps.

I read great reviews and wanted to try this place. It takes a little effort to find, but it is worth it. Limited parking above. You walk down steps to a waterside restaurant. My family had the lobster and crab rolls and the clam chowder bowl. I have the say, the clam chowder bowl was the best. The soup was... More

This was a great find off the beaten path. Lobster rolls were huge on round kaiser buns. Fun to sit at picnic tables on the creek watching the paddle boards and boats go by. Not my favorite lobster roll in Maine-- but a good one and a fun experience. BYOB is a nice feature for a very relaxed dinner with... More
