Casual family dining on the creek

Last night my husband and I had a great meal on Chauncey Creek. This is a casual spot on the creek with picnic tables and fresh lobster prepared in a variety of ways. The food was well prepared. You order at the window then the food is delivered to your table after a brief wait. There were... read more

Very quaint restaurant with incredible food and scenery. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, especially Mook, who helped us with the order. Lobsters to order, oysters, clams, clam chowder, all to enjoy at picnic tables on the water We enjoyed the road to the place a lot. Strongly recommend for the best authentic Maine lobster feast!

Went with a group of 12 friends. The young man behind the counter seemed put out that we wanted seperate checks. I wanted the lobster roll. They had it cold with mayonnaise. Lobster roll is warmed bun with hot lobster and melted butter. They gave me a cold bun with cold lobster and melted butter on the side for $18.... More

If you want to get some lobster, (and who doesn't?) this is the place. Great location on the river, super clean facilities, and great food. Being my first time in New England I had to have a lobster roll, so this is where I went, and I'm glad I did. My wife had a tuna sandwich and really enjoyed it... More

I've been going here for years and have been willing to pay extra to sit on a picnic table overlooking the river while I ate lobster. A recent visit caused me to throw in the white towel and walk away because of the price gauging. One pound lobsters were going for around $5.50 a pound at the markets in the... More

I'm not sure what distinguishes a Lobster Pound from a Lobster Pound Restaurant, other than the number of choices on the menu, I suppose. This place is a Lobster Pound - the menu is limited, but the lobster is fabulous. It is BYOB, and you can bring sides/drinks whatever you'd like to compliment your lobster meal. But, the real reason... More

The lobster roll was tasty, with a generous filling and a handful of kettle chips served on the side. The staff was nice enough to give me a free refill of iced tea, which I didn't find at any other lobster shacks I visited on this first holiday in Maine. There is plenty of seating for groups and you are... More

Lobster was excellent although more than we paid at home which surprised us. Excellent oysters on the half shell. Service is sketchy. You have to track down someone to get you things like napkins and butter but if you are wanting a great Maine lobster in Maine this is the furthest southern point about an hour north of Boston. Drive... More

Food is great. View is great. Northeastern America is known for its seafood, but many of the restaurants are located inside of a restaurant. There are not many places where you can enjoy your seafood along the river. We live in Boston, but the drive up is only a little over an hr. We ordered lobster rolls, raw oysters, clams,... More
