Description: When we opened Robert’s in June 2006, we had a certain idea: we could do a version of the big Maine seafood restaurant that was rooted in the tradition of these places, but also inspired by up-to-date food trends like local farm-to-table ingredients and more creative recipes. Owner Michael Landgarten had long been a fan, patron, and student of these large all-purpose (seafood-centric but not exclusively seafood) Maine restaurants.Traditionally, coastal Maine seafood restaurants focus on a large, seafood-centered menu featuring steamed lobster, baked and fried seafood, steaks, burgers, and have a bar, and usually some outside dining. We liked this notion for Robert’s, but wanted it to be a “now” experience – about the best of Maine food. In the Midcoast region, the farm-to-table movement had started long before there was that name for it. Back-to-the landers there started restaurants that sourced directly from local fisherman and farmers. We’re still searching for that ideal blend of traditional Maine, farm-to-table, and what’s best and real in new cuisine. Mostly though, we are guided by our purpose – to make guests happy!

It has a high-end lobster shack vibe. Some sweaters worn around the neck with Nantucket red pants and horn-rimmed glasses. A bit pricey considering that the lobster places you drive by to get there advertise lobster for $4/lb and their 1-lb lobster costs $20+. Still pretty good. Nicely done kid's menu. Exactly what they want and cheap at $6/plate. Very... More

My wife and I stopped the other day for lunch. It isn't my first visit to Robert's. The menu consists mainly of seafood dishes which shouldn't be a surprise. I have had numerous dishes here and here and I have never been disappointed. Today we had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was excellent. We tried an Ale from Sebago and... More

All around fantastic experience. Loved the complimentary valet parking since parking was a squeeze and the decor was everything you would expect of a small coastal town. Don't let the location of this restaurant discourage you! It's in a shopping area, which for me usually means "chain food." Not so in this case! It was authentic and fresh with fantastic... More

We try to be a relaxing reprieve in the center of the hustle & bustle of outlet shopping, especially with the tranquil view from our deck. We also work hard to deliver high quality freshly prepared local food, I am so glad you enjoyed the items you tried. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding our... More

Had dinner with my parents last night! Tried the crab cakes for the first time, delicious!! Their blt wedge is good as well. I've tried many of their desserts and the brownie sundae is delicious. Can't wait to go back!

I had a standard lobster roll with clam chowder. The chowder was very good but I would have liked a little more clams in it. My wife had the gumbo lobster roll ($28.00) with onion rings and cole slaw. It was excellent. Plenty of seating inside and lots to choose from on the menu. Need to go back and check... More

We went to Kittery for the day and wanted somewhere good to eat. We checked trip advisor and found this gem. It has ample seating, a great view, plenty of local beer and local ingredients. It was just what we wanted. I won't lie, it was a little pricey, but well worth it! I got a fried haddock (which was... More

We have a great selection of Maine craft beers and strive to provide freshly prepared local food, which does tend to make our prices a bit on the high side. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding our establishment. I hope you will stop by again the next time you visit Kittery. More

We tried Robert's Maine Grill for the first time for lunch. The restaurant is well designed to accommodate any size party. We had 6 in ours. We were seated promptly, upstairs. The service was friendly and good despite the fact that it was very busy. The house salad was generous and delicious. A couple of us ordered the hot lobster... More

We ate here after shopping the outlets in Kittery. The atmosphere was fun, the service was great, and the food was delicious! The prices were a bit steep ($16.00 for the soup and sandwich special) but we were all full after the meal and enjoyed ourselves. I would eat here again if I was in the area.
