Description: When we opened Robert’s in June 2006, we had a certain idea: we could do a version of the big Maine seafood restaurant that was rooted in the tradition of these places, but also inspired by up-to-date food trends like local farm-to-table ingredients and more creative recipes. Owner Michael Landgarten had long been a fan, patron, and student of these large all-purpose (seafood-centric but not exclusively seafood) Maine restaurants.Traditionally, coastal Maine seafood restaurants focus on a large, seafood-centered menu featuring steamed lobster, baked and fried seafood, steaks, burgers, and have a bar, and usually some outside dining. We liked this notion for Robert’s, but wanted it to be a “now” experience – about the best of Maine food. In the Midcoast region, the farm-to-table movement had started long before there was that name for it. Back-to-the landers there started restaurants that sourced directly from local fisherman and farmers. We’re still searching for that ideal blend of traditional Maine, farm-to-table, and what’s best and real in new cuisine. Mostly though, we are guided by our purpose – to make guests happy!

Ok, my girlfriend an I were on the hunt for a great fresh lobster for lunch, we are snobs, we want silverware(not plastic) and no picnic benches, and a decent wine list. This was harder than one would think. So we stopped a jogger in Kittery, Me, and asked and he said Robert's, so we found it, (yes, by the... More

Seated quickly, waitress attentive and courteous. Food delicious with great selection of both food and drink. Price a bit high for out of town eatery but the place was packed. Lovely lake view from the windows on the left side, ample parking. 💸🍻👪🅿😊🎶🍸☕🍹

Yummy is the first thing that came to mind when sitting down to write this review. We stopped here on a rainy day shopping trip to Kittery after over-hearing another couple discussing their recent lunch. The staff was great and recommended a great local brew, the decor and atmosphere made for a very comfortable experience, and the food was great!... More

Robert's in Kittery is a real treat. The food is great. We always have local seafood. I enjoy the fresh oysters. I usually get six oysters from three sources. The house bloody mary goes great with them.

I stop here every year. They have fresh, good food at a reasonable price. Our waitress was not very friendly. She was slow and did not make us feel welcome. I would still go back there though. The food has always been good and a nice atmosphere.

We ate lunch today at Robert's Maine Grill not knowing what to expect as we ate at their sister restaurant, Bob's Clam Hut, and were not completely satisfied. The difference was night and day. We were served promptly, the server was attentive, the food was served piping hot and delicious. My clam chowder was a perfect thin/thick blend and had... More

All 7 of us enjoyed our meals (from the adult version of grilled cheese to the lobster pie to kids meals) and the service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door. Comfortable atmosphere too!

We were here for dinner on 6/8. I'm not sure I will go back. We had to remind our waitress several times to bring things that were not delivered. We shared steamers (which I love) and I wouldn't bother ordering them here. I ordered the 1.25# lobster and I'm postiive it was more like a 3/4 -1 # lobster. I've... More
