Description: When we opened Robert’s in June 2006, we had a certain idea: we could do a version of the big Maine seafood restaurant that was rooted in the tradition of these places, but also inspired by up-to-date food trends like local farm-to-table ingredients and more creative recipes. Owner Michael Landgarten had long been a fan, patron, and student of these large all-purpose (seafood-centric but not exclusively seafood) Maine restaurants.Traditionally, coastal Maine seafood restaurants focus on a large, seafood-centered menu featuring steamed lobster, baked and fried seafood, steaks, burgers, and have a bar, and usually some outside dining. We liked this notion for Robert’s, but wanted it to be a “now” experience – about the best of Maine food. In the Midcoast region, the farm-to-table movement had started long before there was that name for it. Back-to-the landers there started restaurants that sourced directly from local fisherman and farmers. We’re still searching for that ideal blend of traditional Maine, farm-to-table, and what’s best and real in new cuisine. Mostly though, we are guided by our purpose – to make guests happy!

Robert's has a BoGo Monday. meaning two for one oysters. The oysters are4 incredibly fresh and shucked perfectly preserving the liquor. My wife and I had two fo each from the oyster menu and I can't say that I have ever enjoyed oysters anymore than this selection. Our waitress was attentive without interrupting our meal and answered every question. For... More

This was our second visit - first was great also. It's a nice dining room. Staff is always pleasant and food is just great. Standard prices - not great but not high. All food is excellent though so you know you're getting a good meal. The dining room is a little bit cool - I wished I'd brought a sweater.... More

We came here on a Sunday night during winter for dinner. There aren't many places open and we were looking for good, fresh seafood. Two adults, three teens. The decor was clean, simple and soothing. This is one of the few places we ate this weekend that actually had style to it and thought put into the decor. Three of... More

Always stop by when shopping in Kittery! Right off exit 2 and located right in the heart of the Kittery Outlets. Ambience is great and homey while the food is ALWAYS yummy. Clam chowder, daily oysters and lobster rolls are the go-to and fresh!

Second time we've been here. New Years eve. Scallops are the best. Haddock is amazing. Great way to end the year.

After a nice weekend in Portsmouth, we crossed the bridge to do a little outlet shopping in Kittery and came across this place. We ordered the brussel sprouts, and a grilled cheese and tomato to share. Boy were we pleased, brussels were out of this world! Staff was super friendly and nice, and we just loved the inside. Very large... More
