Great Hidden Gem!

The Dog House does what it sets out to do really well. Great dogs, including veggie and foot longs. Get them grilled and you won't be disappointed. Their lobster roll is OUTRAGEOUSLY GOOD for the price. And they're selling Giffords ice cream, which puts the Dairy Queen across the circle to... read more

Dogs are great...try them deepfried....only way to go for me....sausage good that way too..No they are not greasy...gives them a little more snap when you bite into them... Not fast food so you wait sometimes to place your order or receive it..depending on the time of day....but that is to be expected.....tastes whole lot better when cooked to order....😊

Located on a Kittery roundabout, The toasted hotdog buns were great. Hot dogs are steamed or grilled, when I was there the grilling was only 30 seconds so wasn't crispy on the outside as I had read in other reviews. Fries are better than fast food variety. Will be back to try their burgers (as well as hotdogs maybe grilled... More

My Husband and I are local. Every Sunday, we go there for lunch. Two Sundays ago, the boss was there and complained about the radio. Should be out back he said I agreed, in my head. The woman, (manager?) kinda mouthed off back. The boy taking orders, couldn't get it right to save his soul. The woman decided to "help"... More

The doigs are average the atmosphere is ok but the service is poor. Its a take advantage of the tourist mentality except its year round. Dont walk up to the counter not knowing what you want because the staff will make you feel hurried (as if there are ever going to be 50 people behind you) and its just not... More

A classic hot dog stand with no pretentious other than good food served well. The Italian sausage is wonderful and available with all the traditional fixings. Nothing fancy here, but a "must stop" when passing through the Kittery circle.

The name has changed to Oscar's Dog House. It’s a great hot dog stand serving the Massachusetts-based Old Neighborhood brand. Oscar's is popular with families and single travelers alike. Get your hot dog grilled or steamed with your choice of condiments that include yellow or spicy dark mustard, green relish, sweet red pepper relish, chopped onion, hot peppers, celery salt,... More

Since discovering the Dog House on the Kittery traffic circle, I always make sure to stop there when I'm in the area. It's got all the charm of a classic hot dog stand with surprisingly high-quality food! In addition to really tasty dogs, the veggie dogs are great, and the lobster rolls and ice cream are among the best around.... More

Fast service, good food. Has two picnic tables outside if you are so inclined. I had a really enjoyable cheeseburger and my 4 year old ate his entire hotdog. That does not happen often. He generally likes the idea of a hotdog more than the actual eating of one. Nothing fancy, just a small roadstop but has a good number... More
