Description: Established in 1956 on busy Route One long before that stretch became bustling and busy with Kittery's outlet shops, Bob’s was the locals' golden fried standard. Now Bob's is a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike. We hear it from our guests: no trip to Maine is complete without a meal at Bob's Clam Hut.Bob's is committed to serving traditional Maine fried seafood with straightforward simplicity. Our clams are always fresh, which means daily deliveries--we're too small to store more than that anyway. We use "specials," which are clams hand-selected for consistent size and quality. We follow the original Bob's recipes, including the famous tartar sauce. Customer favorites include Bob's New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Stew, the traditional Bob's fried clams, and the Lillian fried clams. The volume of fryolator oil we go through amazes our suppliers--our oil cleanliness standards are second to none. Our staff uses the same cook-to-order system that Bob and his family developed way back when the Clam Hut first opened.Open for lunch and dinner year round from 11:00.

On my way through Kittery I stopped at Bob's. This was my second visit there and the lobster rolls are delicious. I went with the regular size which was about $16. I wish I had ordered the jumbo which was about $19 and about double the size. That was what I had on my first visit there. The fried clams... More

Bob's Clam Hut is one of our favorite seafood go to's when we visit the Kittery Outlets. Lobster Rolls are great along with the Whole Belly Clams. The Clam Strips are great. My husband loves Clam Strips and orders them every time we go. Their Shrimp and Haddock are very good as well. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Open... More

Have been going by this place for years and finally stopped. We had the lobster rolls. I think they are overpriced for the amount of lobster that is on the roll. Two rolls and two orders of fries plus two drinks were $40.00 . I think there are better values at other restaurants in the area.

I've been driving past Bob's Clam Hut for years but never stopped in. Recently, while at Nubble Light gift shop, I asked a worker there where I could get some good fried clams, and, to my surprise, Bob's was strongly recommended. So, on our way home, we stopped at Bob's and it was great. We ordered a "half and half"... More

We have been to several restaurants that we have seen on "Triple D" and this one did not let us down. I saw the episode about a year ago and had forgotten about it but was lucky that the food network aired it again just a couple of weeks before we were going to New Hampshire. Being from Nevada, I... This is a favorite stop of ours when in southern Maine. The lobster rolls are delicious, and the fried clams are good too. Very quick service.

In addition to the great fried clams, the staff were pleasant, helpful and energized for the lunch rush. Bobs is a destination not just a good place to eat.

The clams certainly did NOT live up to their hype. Okay for tourists, I guess, and handy if you are hitting the outlets in Kittery. But if you like GOOD clams, go elsewhere. The fried shrimp were good, as were both kinds of tartar sauce. Service was friendly and nice, and we had timely service. But if it is the... More
