Established in 1956 on busy Route One long before that stretch became bustling and busy with Kittery's outlet shops, Bob’s was the locals' golden fried standard. Now Bob's is a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike. We hear it from our guests: no trip to Maine is complete without a meal at Bob's Clam Hut.Bob's is committed to serving traditional Maine fried seafood with straightforward simplicity. Our clams are always fresh, which means daily deliveries--we're too small to store more than that anyway. We use "specials," which are clams hand-selected for consistent size and quality. We follow the original Bob's recipes, including the famous tartar sauce. Customer favorites include Bob's New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Stew, the traditional Bob's fried clams, and the Lillian fried clams. The volume of fryolator oil we go through amazes our suppliers--our oil cleanliness standards are second to none. Our staff uses the same cook-to-order system that Bob and his family developed way back when the Clam Hut first opened.Open for lunch and dinner year round from 11:00.

A true Classic ! This is a '50's style picnic table restaurant with the freshest seafood in the area. Be prepared to wait in line & pick up your order. It's well worth the price and great for large groups on the way home from a day on the lake or at the beach.

The food was very good, large portions. Eating at picnic tables was fun. Very busy place, so you know it has to be good.

This small, yet award winning restaurant, hides next to the Kittery Trading Post! The food was amazing and deserved all of the awards they won! FAST, delicious, simply New England fare, this was a win win experience! After eating the lobster roll, we went to a competitors to try there lobster roll...BOB'S WINS!! Packed with meat not shaved lobster. They... More

My boyfriend had the fried clams with fries and coleslaw, and I had the tuna roll. A bit expensive for fried clams, but my boyfriend insisted on having them, and loved it. I tried only one and ended up sick, unfortunately... I'm probably allergic... But the tuna roll and fries were great.

Been here several times and the food is still quite good. Even though they are always packed the food comes quick and the staff is very nice. Crab salad was excellent if a bit pricy. French fries were about the best we've ever had. Just a great roadside joint with a very large menu.

Award winning fried clams....and deserving of any award they have won! My esteemed spouse and I enjoyed a lunch there of French fries, fried clams and onion rings...lots of fried foods, but This was worth the splurge. We split a fried clam dinner, more than enough food for two people. Very crowded, don't just get in the line, check to... More

These people really get the gluten free diet. They are clear that there may be some cross contamination but will go the extra mile to bread fried clam strips in corn batter and provide a gluten free roll. I was in heaven with my Jumbo Fried Clam Plate. I would recommend Jumbo as it satisfied my long over due fried... More

My family and I stopped here on our way up to Bar Harbor for a family wedding. Bob's got great reviews online so we gave it a shot and I'm really glad we did. The environment is real laid back and very similar to what we have enjoyed on the Gulf Coast. Our kids got kids meals that we both... More
