Lobster pizza!

We didn't know where to go that we haven't been to and wanted something lighter than usual. We ended up going to When Pigs Fly and their pizza is tasty. Hubby liked the #3 and #4 beer they had on their list (not sure what they were since I am not a beer drinker).

Outside looks like quaint-modern New England. Inside is industrial with noise that echoes. Sure wish they made part of the restaurant into a quieter space, wouldn't be hard (don't pipe in the music, put in architectural features that soak up noise.) In the meantime, we recommend takeout.

I ordered the grass fed burger & I have to say it was very good. The fries were good to but a little salty!

As annual vacationers in Maine we'd been enjoying When Pigs Fly artisanal breads for many years when we "discovered" the restaurant about 4 years ago. More than a pizzeria it has a wide range of menu items for fresh oysters to roasted Brussels sprouts to classic Rueben sandwiches - and of course pizza! It's now become a traditional 'must visit'.... Stopped in for a quick meal on a long road trip, and it was just the respite we needed. Friendly wait staff, fun atmosphere, a much broader menu then we expected, and a great beer selection. We went with the meatball pizza and it was delicious. Great crust, spicy meatballs, perfect amount of cheese. Can't wait to go back and... More

When they first opened we were blown away by the innovative menu. Enough so that we put up with the extreme noise and uncomfortable seating. With each subsequent visit, the quality seemed to go down. Finally, we felt the stylish but very uncomfortable seating and the noise were just too much. We live within a mile of this restaurant, but... More

You must stop at the bread store whenever in the Kittery area. Located in the same building is this restaurant with a huge beer collection and gourmet menu including cheeses and pizza.

I ordered a Ruben and thought it was a little expensive but I was on vacation and it did not matter. My wife ordered the Greek salad and when the waitress brought our meal I was amazed. The sandwich was so large and so was the salad. A pleasant surprise because we were able to split the sandwich and salad... More
