In Maine over the weekend, I had a late lunch at When Pigs Fly Pizzeria. It is adjacent to When Pigs Fly Bakery. Both are all about the same two things: quality, all-natural ingredients and being environmentally responsible. The pizzeria offers a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, wood-fired pizzas, snacks/appetizers, salads, craft beers and wines, plus some pasta dishes. On... More

The brick oven pizza here is legendary, and with good reason. Unusual toppings beautifully presented pizza, and a hugh selection of microbrews make this a must on any trip to or through Kittery, Maine. We all know the pizzas to die for, so yo may want some more info on ambiance, etc. first off, this is a kid friendly place,... More

That bread plate might well have been one of the best things I've had in a long time. It was the perfect size to share between two people, and such a good selection. The burger I had was a really good size, and absolutely brilliant. I love a good burger so my standards are fairly high! The service was good,... More

Because it is brick oven, pizza arrives at table pretty quick. Delicious and recommend margarita or pesto sauceless three cheese pizza. We also tried brussels sprout sesame ginger appetizer. Great while shopping Kittery Outlets, quick in/out to shop some more and reasonably priced. Loved the bread store and scenic grounds.

We had the sausage pizza here and the crust was delicious freshly baked like the bread they bake next door. The sausage didn't taste like pork sausage and it was very very dry and there was very little sauce on the pizza. Ask for extra sauce on the pizza and stick to the margarita because the sausage was not that... More

On a cool, cloudy day in August 2014, my daughter and I decided to go shopping in Kittery. We have always enjoyed the breads at "Where PIgs Fly" in Freeport so were excited to try this restaurant that we saw on the web. We were very pleased. While waiting the short wait for our table we went to the company... More

The food is very good. Always prepared with fresh ingredients. Great atmosphere. However, I am very disappointed with the pizza I ordered. Pesto with cheese and chicken. The pizza was really burnt on the bottom and really soggy! No crisp to the crust at all. My husband got the meatloaf sandwich and it was fabulous. Very tasty. We will be... More

we went to this restaurant on a busy saturday afternoon in August. It was extremely busy, but we got a table for 2 immediately. We both had "Maine grass fed beef" burgers. I must say, they were awesome. Great tasting and excellent rolls. Lots of varied items on the menu, seems like something for anyone. My only complaint is the... More

Wasn't sure what I wanted to order. There are a bunch of choices. Pizza, burgers, salads, etc. Very glad I went with the clam chowder pizza. Yum! The waitress was great! Hubs had a burger and loved it. Also the fries with 3 dipping sauces. They were tasty.
