This was one of the most disappointing meals of our two week Maine vacation. The bread was so salty it was inedible. Granted the waitress replaced it when we pointed this out. Prefering plain, straightforward food we both ordered roast chicken, with roast potatoes and grilled asparagus. We waited 50 minutes for 2 "roast" legs and thighs of chicken (what... More

The staff is eager to make you happy. Though, sometimes they forget the bread plates or the salt you asked for. The lobster roll is worth $20 and comes with good, salty fries. I also liked the cerviche. It was a small portion ($15), but it was tasty. My friend liked the broth in the clam chowder, but she could... More

We come to Kennebunkport each Summer for a few days, meet friends, walk along the coast and...well...eat. Our friends, who live in the area, suggested Stripers for our annual get together and we were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly, given a choice of indoor or outdoor dining and settled in for the evening. Except for the fact that the... More

The view is spectacular on a beautiful Maine sunset, but this doesn't justify the price charged for very average fare. The clam chowder perhaps once had clams because you could taste them, but they were absent, they had been replaced by potatoes. The lobster roll was okay, but not worth $20, even with the "hand cut fries". I've had good... More

The portions are not big, but they aren't small either. You won't walk out hungry, which is important for someone with a big appetite like myself. The food at Stripers is great quality with that gourmet--culinary taste. The Salmon. Chicken and Scallops were dishes that we enjoyed. I enjoyed the pork belly as a small dish, too. The lobster spring... More

Just had lunch on the deck. Very expensive, very poor quality. Vodka Martini tasted like a Watertini, Manhattan was ok. Nice view but I suggest passing on the food & beverage.

My husband and I had planned an anniversary dinner at Striper's Waterside. I called about two months in advance to make a reservation. The day before we were supposed to go there, I called to confirm and was informed that that the restaurant was going to be closed for a wedding on the night on which I had made the... More

Overpriced food, small portions, and average service warrant this half-hearted review. The view is truly fantastic, but that's about it. I think that if they cut the price in half I could recommend, but if you are going to pay top dollar for a meal I don't think it's the place for you. Instead, go for drinks and take advantage... Dinner at Striper’s was truly memorable. We were there for the 4th of July; you might think that a small restaurant could be overwhelmed on a holiday weekend, but the team at Striper’s really shined. We shared a number of small plates — lobster tacos, oysters, lobster spring rolls and crab cakes — and for entrees we had the Bouillabaisse,... More

We have been to Stripers several times over the years. This time we found the decor, the menu, the food, and the clientele largely downscaled. NO LONGER the place for comfortable well appointed tables, high end delicious food (like lobster bisque or exquisite rack of lamb), wonderful exclusive wine list...the kind of place you dress up for. Rather, the tables... More
