Fine dining with an ocean view

This is a restaurant to treat yourself to fine dining of the highest degree. My wife and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the view of the ocean. The Casco Bay cod and the beef strip steak were first class. The deserts were Creme Brule with poached pears and chocolate sorbet, and Profiteroles... read more

Great view of the ocean. Room ambience great. Food was very good. Only drawback was we were seated next to bar and kitchen so a little noisy.

We had a very fine dinner - my wife, sister-and-brother-in law. All of us enjoyed our dinner....try the Scottish Salmon. Steamed and I found it it terrific. My wife and her sister shared the lobster. My wife enjoyed it and it was okay for my sister-in-law. They have a fine wine list and we truly enjoyed our dinner.

We enjoyed an evening at the Chef's table. We started out the evening with a welcome cocktail and hors'doerves by the fireplace. It was relaxing and the selection of hors'doerves satisfied everyone in our party. Then we moved on to a three course meal in the dining room. The mussels appetizer was delicious, and then our main course selections of... More

The first thing to mention is regarding the dinning room new look. From a old Maine style seaside dinning room it has become a bright, elegant and airy one with a pleasant shore and ocean view from anywhere in the restaurant. A pleasant welcome by the hostess as soon as we walked in and a discreet and very professional service... More

Exquisite holiday light views in the village were breathtaking which set the stage for an amazing evening. The Inn was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday making it immediately warm and inviting upon arrival. Along with the welcoming smile and hello from the hostess. We were seated in a corner table that I can envision is a spectacular view of... More

Stephen provided us with excellent service, the presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the food was amazing! A perfect evening with our friends! Don't miss the opportunity to visit this restaurant if you are in the area. It is levels above what it used to be with the new owner and Chef Pierre!

Went with my wife and some friends. We had Laura as our server - she was absolutely fantastic! Her knowledge of the food, preparation, and story was amazing. Laura made for a great experience. The bartender was Devin - I would suggest you let her do her thing. All I said was Hendricks gin - and she made a great... More

We were a party of 5 for evening meal. We sat and had cocktails in the lounge beforehand, the setting and ambience was excellent. The meal and wine were expertly presented and explained in detail. Great service and can thoroughly recommend for a special evening.

Returning recently to the Cape Arundel Inn for dinner at Ocean was a wonderful experience. People there are so nice and we do feel being at home (a lovely home indeed overlooking the ocean, with plenty of art pieces in the house) and the food is just delicious under the guidance of Pierre Gignac. I did a great pick myself... More
