Great lunch and service

My family and I had lunch at Hurricanes and enjoyed the fresh food, courteous and quick service and the water views. The prices are high but the food is worth it. We found the tables a bit to close to each other for private discussions but really just fine for lunch.

Local friends recommended eating lunch here and we were not disappointed. While expensive, less than other places in town, however the food was excellent, tasty, and plentiful. Very good service. Hamburgers were excellent, also had some different type of drinks, . Highly Recommend this place.

Great oysters. Tenderloin entree, though tender, was so loaded with salt that it was all but inedible. Good service, but two hundred dollars later (dinner for two), I would have been better investing in all the water I will need to drink in the next few days to offset the salt intake. Serious attention needs to be paid to the... More

Friendly service and delicious food; my husband had a hearty and delicious kale and sausage soup, while I had the mussels in a broth of butter, white wine, tomato, onion and capers. I ended up delinking the broth with my spoon, it was so delicious!

All-around delightful dinner. Enjoyed all my courses and found the recommendations of the staff to be right on point. The server was helpful and courteous.

Four of us had lunch here one day later in the afternoon. It was not crowded so you would think the waitress would have been a little less "snarky." She seemed disinterested in serving us. Two of us had salads and two had sandwiches. The food was good, not spectacular. I think if the service had been warmer we might... More

We were quite disappointed with lunch here--- i did love the raw clams and oysters. However, the lobster roll was very substandard and the french fries were limp and soggy. Inexcusable for any Maine restaurant. They need to go to Quincys Market in Boston to learn how to make a really delicious lobster roll. My wife had the lobster Cobb... More

Decided to opt for the "small plates" in lieu of a dinner. Started with the sausage and kale soup that was spicy and hearty. The carpaccio was boring and sliced too thick poor presentation and finally the 1/2 and 1/2 appetizer was very bland overall I guess I should have spent the $40 for 3 pieces of lamb, my dinner... I picked the restaurant just from walking by, and seeing the food - ended up being a VERY tasty meal; excellent cocktails, had Portuguese kale and sausage soup (not like my Portuguese grandmother used to make, though - more like a vegetable soup with rice, but very tasty); lobster roll was EXCELLENT - lots of very fresh lobster, not too...
