Must hit

A must hit for the experience. Fried clams are great but expensive.Make sure to check out the deck out back as it's a great spot to gobble and watch the water.

Without a doubt, this was the best lobster roll I've ever had. It was served on a round potato roll with absolutely no fillers....not even celery. All lobster meat! The roll was $18 but well worth it.

Ordered the shrimp lunchbox for $22.00 which came with fries and coleslaw. Delish!! Overflowing with shrimp and enough for two meals! Husband got the fish sandwich with four small pieces of fish on a hamburger roll. He was disappointed with the small amount. Received a coupon for buy one get one free at their Aunt Marie's ice cream place. Would... More

They advertise a lobster roll but it's a lobster sandwich on a hamburger style bun. Average flavor and extremely overpriced at $19 bucks. This is a $12 sandwich. No sides either! Later in the day I had another lobster roll at a 99 restaurant for $18 bucks and it was far better. It was served on a toasted roll with... More

First, this is a lobster sandwich...not a lobster roll. If you're coming expecting a traditional cold lobster roll with mayo on a split roll, then you'd best try someplace else. This is a whole 1-lb lobster served in giant pieces on a delicious round roll. It is served hot and you can get butter or mayo (or both...which is what... More

The shack is really small and you order your food and can eat outside or the have a small inside location where you can get a beer. I have eaten a quite a few lobster rolls and this one is a little different as you choose with butter or butter and mayo. I loved the butter and the family loved... More

Best place for lobster rolls in our entire trip to Maine, and we tried MANY. Get yours with both mayo and butter. Fried clams here are out of this world. Yes, you eat outside on picnic tables, and yes, you are supposed to clean up after yourself (which is evidently too much to ask of some people), but it's well... More

No parking at this location, cost $20.00 to park nearby, then $80.00 for food that was just average. I have eaten Better fried clams at Howard Johnson's. Lobster roll on a hamburger roll. Eh not so much.

We did not visit the clam shack, but they did cater at a family outing. The clam chowder was very good and I do not like clams. I did eat the potatoes. Lobster was good also. When we were in town the line at the clam shack was long but the taste of the food will be worth the wait.

Get the lobster roll with just butter. Skip the mayo. It ain't cheap but it was fantastic. The round bun was a little different but very light and buttery. Big lines so get there early at lunchtime.
