Very good food, excellent view of the ocean, Ben, the head bartender insures everyone is more than adequately taken care of while your food is being prepared. Great place to just sit and relax on the veranda or patio for a drink or small plate. Swordfish is wonderful. Lobster - well it is super! Service - staff is extremely knowledgeable... More

This is a beautiful place for dinner. Service was great, delicious lobster, friendly atmosphere. The menu was a modern twist on the Maine classics. Lively bar scene. Ask to be seated on the glass enclosed porch for a good view of the ocean

Decor is lovely but doesn't " go" with laid back goose rocks. Service friendly and efficient. Chowder ok and TBC salad a disaster. People next to us loved mussels. The burger was terrible. Great location but food a 6.

We just loved the closeness to the beach, the quiet and peacefulness of sitting on the front porch enjoying the wonderful view. As we are elderly, this was our favorite spot. The staff was very warm and friendly and helpful. The living room at night was too noisy because of the proximity to the bar and dining area. Also the... More

Had drinks and apps. It depends on what you're looking for. Everything sparkles. Not 'Maine quaint'. Food, drinks, service are acceptable, but pricey.

Coming from New York, the restaurants in Maine are very relaxed which we loved; however, the Tides had a more sophisticated vibe which was fun! There was a great bar scene and while we were not able to score seats on the front porch, we were able to grab two seats at the bar and enjoy drinks before our meal.... More

We stayed at Hidden Pond and decided to spend our first afternoon at the beach. WE found chairs and set out to have a nice day. About an hour after we arrived, a staff member finally brought us a menu. However, she never came back to take our order. We waited for about an hour and a half and then... More

We did not stay for dinner so I really can't comment on the food but the drinks at the bar were well made and the service was perfect. My husband and I joined other friends for cocktails one evening and it was lovely.

The food was absolutely terrific, the reason this gets a 4 is for the atmosphere. I had not been to the Tides in years, and was pleasantly surprised. 4 of us went for a 6:30 reservation. We were greeted by an extremely young host; who did not sit us at our table, but just pointed it out. I thought that... More

I ate here while I was staying at Hidden Pond. ALthough not as amazing as Earth at Hidden Pond, it was still very good! Also, I have heard that it is better to eat at The Tides while the sun is still up so you can enjoy the view and/or eat on the beach. Next time~
