Loved it!

Would go back in a heartbeat! Friendly, courteous staff, and delicious food with a decent size menu. Nice selection of wines and cheese. Lovely ambience, very romantic with lots of golden soft light.

My husband and I had dinner here last night. The bread and meals were outstanding. My husband had the chicken statler. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were perfect. I had the seafood stew which contained a nice variety of seafood but was just a touch spicier than I anticipated. The only negative was they seemed... More

Steak Frites.... awesome. Moscow Mule was prepared to perfection. Ambiance is very conducive to conversation and enjoyable dining. We sat at the bar for drinks and tapas and had a wonderful experience.

wonderful, light, tasty meals made with local foodstuffs. One of our favorite local restaurants! The wine selection and martinis are very good and the desserts are a fun compliment to the meal. Service is good. My only complaint is they dont offer a regular cheese plate.

We went to 50 Local last night with friends. We sat several minutes before anyone came to our table to even begin service. Then, once our order was placed, it was an hour and a half before finally being served our entrees. In that period, the waiter never once came over to ask if we wanted to refresh our drinks... More

My husband and I ate here on first night in Maine for our honeymoon. It's a small little restaurant with a hip atmosphere and simply sophisticated menu. The bread was a great starter so you definitely don't have to order an appetizer. Upon seeing it served to someone else, I ordered the fish and chips which was probably the best... More

We dined here our first night in Maine. Food was good but not mind-blowing. The cheese on the cheese board was mostly hard rind. The seafood stew was almost too spicy to enjoy and some of the items were over cooked. The service was a bit slow and inattentive. Crab cakes were tasty but nothing special. Decor lacked some finesse.... More

The fish stew in a spicy tomato broth was the very best I have had. My wife Fish and chips was excellent and substantial. South African Cab recommended by Mike (former wine story owner) was great. Our friends (other couple) also found their dishes (chicken/pork) to be remarkable. The check will be higher than other noteworthy local restaurants, but the... More

It's a seafood version of "from farm to table"... all fresh seafood-of-the-day with nothing but fresh ingredients from local growers/providers. The service is very professional yet friendly with a bistro-like atmosphere. It's a fun place to spend an evening with some genuine Maine dishes in relaxed environs.

We loved driving out of Kennebunkport into historic Kennebunk a few nights ago. Read reviews for 50 Local, and sounded like an inspired place. It was. Wish it were in my neighborhood, here in northeastern Nassau County. Everything, mindfully a treat, even the punctured floor lamps leading to restrooms. Go -- !
