A good solid breakfast

Although there are limited options in downtown Jackman, we were pleased with our breakfasts here. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing to scoff at. Our waitress was pleasant and the food was tasty.

We set for dinner and ordered burger with fries and pasta with shrimps. The burger was dry and had wired taste. The fries were black colored as if they were fried in engine oil. The spagety came in a sparce tasteless sauce and the shrimps were cold and tasted like plastic. It was one of the worst meals ever. 30... More

We almost left before even getting our food due to a very unfriendly waitress. After a long wait, our food was average. I ordered the chicken club sandwich, which was good. However, the french fries and lemonade were terrible. I didn't even attempt eating them after the first taste. We tried several other restaurants in the area, and had successful... More

Good small place with a lot of variety in the menu. Had dinner and breakfast here. Worthwhile stop if you drive by and are hungry but don't go out of you're way

This restaurant was the only game in town for breakfast. The food is good and reasonably priced. It is very homey and a spot that caters to both locals and travelers. The toast is thick sliced and the eggs were cooked perfectly to our liking. French and English are used.

Had lunch there this past weekend. Bacon cheese burger with fresh cut fries. Cooked the way that I had asked for. Then breakfast the following morning had the 'Papa Bear" i think it was called. 2 eggs over easy, sausage, bacon, and (1) pancake. Very good breakfast.

Passing through Jackman and feeling hungry we spotted Mama Bear's Den offering Home Cooked Pork and went in. It was delicious! A generous portion of roast pork with mash and gravy. All cooked that morning. The desserts looked wonderful too so we took a slice of blueberry pie with us. Again...delicious. This is a simple, spotless, comfortable place to eat... More

This is a nice local place, very comfortable with "okay" food. The clam chowder was good, the fish and chips was disappointing: frozen "Mrs. Paul's" fish blocks (or was it Gorton's?) and limp french fries that were not fresh. Average would be a generous rating, mostly because of the earnest help and servers.

We were looking for somewhere to eat near by and this place was recommended. It was a very good experience and the waitresses were great. The lobster roll was a perfect combination of lobster and mayo in a toasted bun. Also we highly recommend the ravioli. This is defiantly a place to go for a quick sit down lunch.

Friendly folks who will feed you terrific sandwiches or an entire meal. I had some pretty delicious spaghetti, but their soups are particularly tasty.
