Amazing Lobster Roll

We were looking for somewhere to eat near by and this place was recommended. It was a very good experience and the waitresses were great. The lobster roll was a perfect combination of lobster and mayo in a toasted bun. Also we highly recommend the ravioli. This is defiantly a place to go for a... read more

This is a nice local place, very comfortable with "okay" food. The clam chowder was good, the fish and chips was disappointing: frozen "Mrs. Paul's" fish blocks (or was it Gorton's?) and limp french fries that were not fresh. Average would be a generous rating, mostly because of the earnest help and servers.

Friendly folks who will feed you terrific sandwiches or an entire meal. I had some pretty delicious spaghetti, but their soups are particularly tasty.

So good that we ate twice. Friendly happy server and talented chef. The restaurant is more a café type and is simply furnished. The sort of place where the locals go and everyone is chatty. Well done.

My wife and I ate a mid-morning breakfast here on Wednesday, 27 May 2015, on our way from Jackman to Quebec City. The egg dishes including an omelette and all of the sides are well prepared. Service was prompt and friendly.

I've had both breakfast and dinner here. I had dinner a couple of nights ago and heard some guys talking about breakfast so I went back for breakfast today. First the dinner, I went on not just a stormy night but there was a blizzard out (Juno.) No problem, it was open, full menu, plus specials and several locals were... More

Stopped by for breakfast on the way home from deer camp. Though the place was empty, we stopped in due to a recommendation from a local lodge owner. The food was very good and plentiful and served with a smile.

We were visiting Greenville and decided to drive to Rockwood and the decided to extend the drive to Jackman. We stopped at this little restaurant and got the last booth. Friendly waitress. Inhad thr angus burger (very good), the wife had French onion soup (excellent) and grilled cheese (good) and sister had ham and chees (good). A very nice, pleasant... More

Its a simple style really, good food, HOT coffee and low prices with service mixed in from awesome to OK. Its a small town, 600 or so and hard to tell how many staff needed, what everyone wants to eat and how big the groups are when driving or recreating in the area. So go, enjoy a great and decent... This is a ridiculous comparison, but having just spent a fortune ( I am too embarrassed to say exactly how much!) for a meal in Quebec where one appetizer cost more than dinner for two at Mamma Bear's, I have to say the prime rib sizzler and the chicken dinner special compare quite favorably! Really delicious, the sauce for the... More
