OK, it's a small space. And the french fries were greasy. But the coffee was good, as were the burgers. And the waiter was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal. And it was in no way expensive. A good pit stop on the road to Quebec City. We will eat here again (if we don't pack our lunch).

This place is highly recommended by locals not sure if they are all related but had to be the worst meal an experience we had while on vacation in area...when you arrive everyone just stares at you, you are not quite sure if you are in a horror flick or just out to dinner while on vacation...finally when you ask... Stopped in for lunch while riding through on the Harley. Cozy place with good service. Lots of choices on the menu. Limited places to eat in Jackman. Mama Bears Den is a good choice.

We came here for breakfast because Four Seasons was closed. We were a little nervous based on the negative review posted below. I didn't get a bad vibe at all. The food was great and the service was fine. My husband and I both remarked that this was probably more of a place local people go and the place was... More

This was just down the road from our lodgings and was recommended. This is an unpretentious, small local cafe that served us excellent burgers. They were so good I sent the chef, who is also the owner, in a cool beer! Her son was a lovely guy who looked after us on table really well. Burgers and beer ...what a... More

This place was recommended to us for lunch. We felt very unwelcome when we walked in the door. The waitress was very abrupt, didn't smile, acted like we were an imposition to her. I asked for the soup listed on the specials list and was told they were out. This was at 12:35 pm-right in the middle of lunch hour... More

This was a great little family run restaurant within walking distance from The Bishop;s motel. The meal, steak, was cooked exactly as we asked for. It was nice to have a home cooked style meal. The atmosphere was very nice.

I've been here a few times over the years. Very nice local diner experience. Good food and staff is friendly. Comfortable diner setting. One of my favorites in Jackman. Easy to get to on a snow machine also.

The food was average, but very reasonable. For someone coming in from a day in the woods, it's exactly what you need!

We stopped for a quick bite here while exploring Northern Maine. It's fairly basic food, but well done, apart from the Ruben sandwich which was disappointing. The staff were very friendly, telling lots of local history that you just wouldn't find in a guidebook. Old local photos decorate the walls and tables – all very interesting. Very good value for...
