Everything at this diner comes from a box or a can and is microwaved. My best friend used to work here, and she told me they keep GIANT RAT TRAPS in the back to catch all the vermin. The waitresses are incompetent and the cook/microwaver is known to never wash her hands. Please go to Grammy's or even McDonald's before... more

Home fries to kill for! Better than any city restaurent. No better food anywhere. We drive 360 miles from Melrose, Ma. just to eat here! LBD more

Everyone always says, "You just have to go there," and so, we did. The diner itself is very clean and they have lots to choose from on the menu, but our waitress was a complete grouch and the service was horrible. We ordered a platter that came without the extra stuff we paid for, the waitress never came back to... more

When going staying in Houlton or just going through, you have gotta go to the Elm Tree Diner. On North County Road, they have the greatest hometown cooking, not to mention the Lobster rolls. If for no other reason but just to get dessert, do not miss. Homemade pies with real whipped cream to top them off. Their raspberry and... more
