Save room for pie!

Gigantic portions, tasty food, pleasant wait staff. Save room for dessert! They are known for their pies, but I usually can't even finish my meal....

Back to good food. I would not have said this 2 years ago. Good home cooked food. Back to the days of older owners. Good servings.

We stop at this restaurant just about every time we are in Houlton. The food is not only excellent but very generous servings as well. Great service!!

We were very pleased to find this diner while we were out exploring the area. We went by at 3 pm and the parking lot was full. We went back before 5 and the parking lot was still full. No doubt it is a favorite of the locals, the best kind of place. The serve up cold beer and home... More

My family and I have been going to the Elm Tree Diner for 30plus years and--like anything--it has changed and lost some of its rustic charm. Four years ago, I visited and was very disappointed with food that was barely edible. For nostalgia's sake, I took my aunts there for dinner and it was a much improved! I had a... More

I went there w/ a small group. It was after lunch time - quiet - waitress was somehow distracted. Took forever to place order..water glasses not filled...brought coffee but no milk. Not what I expected. Salad that I had - w/ cranberries/ pecans/ bacon was awful ! I ordered NO pecans - it was covered w/ tiny little pieces (no... More

Stopped into the elm tree after twenty years and have to say was what I expected mediocre food at mediocre prices. However it did not agree with me and I was in the bathroom within a half hour. Probably won't go back for breakfast anyway.

I was mot impressed a year ago so I tried it again and it was nice. Food was great but the service is incredibly slow. A good manager is needed.

The service here is very good. The servers are friendly, helpful, and my food came out quickly. I ordered a lobster roll. It was one of the best I have had a restaurant. I ordered a dinner to bring home (spaghetti); it was pretty good for an $8 meal. There is a large selection of desserts. I chose the lemon... More

Stopped here by chance while traveling. What a pleasant surprise! The food was homemade, satisfying and delicious! The hot turkey sandwich was amazing with thick cuts of tender turkey. And the price was great! So happy we stopped!
