Hit or miss, but mostly hit

Lobster specials are good, but can be pricey. Eat indoors on picnic tables, but views are beautiful. Not fine dining, but the food is fine.

Visited Estes in Harpswell last evening for the twin lobster special. We had friends visiting from California and wanted a restaurant with views and plenty of lobster. Worth the trip out Harpswell Neck. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the lobster special and were very satisfied.

Having grown up on a beautiful harpswell coast line, I appreciate an Estes sunset as much as the next guy. What I don't appreciate is being served a "specialty" cocktail in a 4oz plastic cup for $10 a pop. I didn't realize at the time what the cost of these drinks were so I had ordered another since it was... More

We were in Brunswick and looking for a lobster shack - Google found Estes Lobster House. A half hour drive later, we were driving through beautiful Harpswell, Maine and arrived at Estes. It is on the west side of the tip of the peninsula and the outdoor seating is on the water side offering great sunset dinners. Our server, Megan... More

Estes is the place to go for the quintessential Maine experience. Good food, great views Friendly service. You know you are in Maine when you eat here Their lobster comes from Dick's lobsters just down the road. Worth the trip down the peninsula on route 123.

Estes is always a great value, they now have a full service bar. The experience of sitting outside by the bay , watching lobster boats go by as you eat 2 lobsters for $ 19.99 is pure joy. It is a low key relaxe.d eating experence

I hadn't been in years and my memory was of a crowded and dingy tourist trap with poor food. Well, things must have changed, or my memory has failed. I went the other day for an after work group. Best news is that the place has installed a new and gleaming and spacious wood bar, freshly varnished in keeping with... More

This restaurant has it all from great lobster meals to scenery. You have so many choices as to having lobster and there will be no disappointment in what ever you chose. The prices are just for the lobster with butter and all sides are extra, still all and all it was not that expensive for the meal that they serve.... More

Estes Lobster House is one of T&L's top 10 Lobster Houses in Maine. Prices are good, lobster is fresh and hot, the steamed clams were great, and the bide-your-time dish was outstanding. While we waited for the lobstah we had garlic bread with a lobster/parmesan dip that was superb. Of special help for us lobster newbies was the placemat that... More

Had lunch at Estes. It was not crowded..summer crowd had not arrived in town yet. Staff was friendly and recommended a few places for us to visit in Harpswell.(Giant Stairs, Land's End:not the store) Lobster roll was very good..more lobster than mayo! The onion rings are very filling and piled HIGH. There's a
