Great local place!

Great food, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Prime rib special was dynamite! Child friendly- great with young kids, had coloring books and brought their food early. Must try!!

I hate not saying it was one of the best meals I ever had in a restaurant, but I'm a food freak and have eaten at some amazing places. But for the money Rod and Reel was superb. Our waitress as excellent. The breaded scallops were excellent, the prime rib same. Boston Creme pie excellent. Highly recommend it.

Every year in Greenville, Maine on our way to a more remote house on Moosehead Lake we plan to eat at least once, usually more frequently at the Rod and Reel. The owners, Karen and Roy are on site every time we have been there. The "fish and chips" are perfect: so fresh the fish is practically still wriggling when... More

Good times and a great place! The owners run this place and are always there doing the cooking, cleaning tables, waiting on customers. We come in from Massachusetts and it's the first place we stop before heading to camp! We have even come up to have New Years Eve dinner! They turn the place into a 4 star restaurant with... More

We eat here every time we are in Greenville and it is consistently delicious! Best haddock sandwich anywhere. Great food, friendly people...by far the best local restaurant. A must at least once when you're in town!

We were 5 hungry guys looking for a good meal in Greenville, and we found it at the Rod-N-Reel. It's the best place in town. Good, simple food, great service, friendly people. Try the homemade poppyseed dressing.

We had a wonderful family lunch at the Rod-N- Reel across the street from Moosehead Lake. We ordered Sea Scallops with carrots and mashed potatoes with gravy. All the food was cooked to order and was excellent. We also had the Bumberrry pie for dessert and it was super. Also, the restaurant was very busy and our waitress Sierra was... More

I feel like this is the kind of bar/restaurant you would find the locals at, telling their stories. We stopped in for a drink and ended up getting the nachos and a shrimp cocktail. They were both really good! The prices weren't bad either! The bartender was extremely nice!

This place was just what I was looking for in a small town in Maine at lunch. Good food, good service, reasonable prices and friendly people! The fish sandwich I had was very good!
