We recently were married and on the night before, we were treated to dinner by my cousin who retired as a restaurant inspector for the State. I said that we wanted to go to the Rod N' Reel. The response didn't surprise me."One of the cleanest kitchens in the area". The meal was excellent that we chose from the lighter... More

We came to Greenville, ME for a two week vacation from Carlisle, PA. We were aware of the Rod and Reel Cafe from the person we rented the cabin from. We just were not aware of what a GREAT place this would turn out to be. As of this review, we have eaten there twice. I had the prime rib... More

We ate here two nights in a row during our 3 day stay in the Greenville area. They have a section of the menu which features lighter, value priced meals and this worked well for us. The haddock was very tasty and they were willing to cook it for me without butter. My husband had spaghetti with meatballs which he... More

Otherwise the drinks were spot on and we would return if in the area. The restaurant was listed for sale when we went however the staff and service acted as if they appreciated your... More

We ate at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Karen the bartender (and owner). The place was friendly, clean and busy! The chicken parm with Ray's homemade sauce was really good.

We liked the location and atmosphere. I had the fried clams which I lied a lot. My wife had the baked scallops which she did not enjoy as well, however we talked to others who really liked their scallops.
