A pleasant surprise in the wilderness

My wife and I ate two dinners here, being guests at the Greenville Inn. We both ordered only the tomato and basil soup, and the autumnal salad with wine as neither of us were hungry following a long drive of driving. Although the soup was essentially a cream of tomato soup, it was light with a... read more

Finding a fine dining experience in Greenville on a Wednesday night in September is not easy. Many places are only open Thursday through Saturday. Being in Greenville for the "longer" Mount Kineo cruise on the Kate (Wednesday only) left us with a dilemma. But a recommendation to try the Greenville Inn for dinner saved the evening. Owner and host, Jeff,... More

Food was pretty good, service was ok, some attention to detail missing for us (bread removed before meal served and one meal missing the pasta it was suppose to come with). Waitress did not come back to check on our meal but the owner did. Our review is tough - but then we are coming from a background of fine... More

This place is the total package! Dinner was incredible and the service was excellent. The owners were fantastic and very helpful and friendly. They were quick to give advice for travel tips and so friendly to chat with. I had the pork and my husband the brisket and both were cooked to perfection! We both had the "summah" salad which... The food here is amazing! It is delicious and the wait staff are so friendly. We also had breakfast, which was great too, but I think they only serve it for the guests who stay overnight, which we did. Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the almond cod and my boyfriend had the summah salad... More

Greenville, Maine is a wonderful town at the southern tip of Moosehead Lake. Who would think the food scene in this part of Maine would be so good, and the Greenville Inn one of the best. I had a mushroom ravioli dish that was very tasty and light. Lots of vegetables and mushrooms in the sauce. Very good. My wife... More

We had a wonderful dinner at the Greenville Inn. My husband ordered the steak. I ordered the wild mushroom risotto and our sons had the pasta Bolognese and the filet. All was delicious and the wine selections were great. We had a lovely meal and I would highly recommend to anyone to go there for a yummy and special dining... More

During our stay in Jackman, Maine we went on a cruise on the Katahdin on Moosehead Lake, Greenville. After a delightful cruise around Mount Kineo, we happened upon the Greenville Inn. We were delight to see a restaurant advertise "Fine Dining" because it is very difficult to find a good restaurant in the northwest part of Maine. The Greenville Inn... More

We stayed 2 nights. Beautiful, picturesque location. Wonderful property with old world charm and history. Terri and Jeff are perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful and made the guests feel welcome and relaxed. Great breakfast and the evening meal we had was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the Greenville Inn

We were a party of 5 with no reservation, but Terry found a way to set us up, very comfortably in two lovely cottages, connected by a porch. Our kids loved their room and we found ours beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious! We also had a fantastic dinner one night with an incomparable Lobster...
