The Black Frog looks like it is in the processes of being sold. I drove by yesterday and they were not open for business. Alternative restaurant nearby looked like everyone was there. Stress Free Moose. One star rating as there is no star available if the place is not open. It appears the we have a lost frog as they... More

We visited The Black Frog last year and were not wowed by anything. The food was ok, the server was helpful but the service was generally slow. Most of us didn't remember what we ate here last year. Regardless, we needed a place to eat and everywhere else was busy. This year, our server was, again, helpful and friendly but... More

My review is a 1 out of 5 only because Trip Advisor does not allow a fractional rating. I have enjoyed the Black Frog annually since 2005 for my family's annual pilgrimage to the Greenville Seaplane Fly-in. This year I brought new friends and boasted about how awesome an experience the Black Frog has always been; sadly I was embarrassed,... More

This place was below average. We visited Black Frog on recommendation from our tour guide on the Moose Safari. Were pretty hungry and thought we would get a good burger here. I had the Lobster Sandwich and my friends had the special burger. The lobster was ok; but it had no taste. The sandwich felt bland. My friends left behind... More

While waiting for our lunches to come we enjoyed a wonderful view of Moosehead Lake. And we did WAIT....a long time....for our lunches. Once they came, the food was delicious. The onion rings, fantastic! The chef's salad, terrific! The waitperson indicated that they had had several "big parties" to deal with and that was why we had to wait but... More

This day September 3, 2014, lunch a total disaster, by far the worst experience I've ever had at the Black Frog. First of a menu that looked like a scratch sheet at a horse track. Secondly a loud and inept waitress who didn't know much about a menu. Thirdly a menu that said one thing and the waitress said another... More

We tried to eat here on a Wednesday night after a friend had recommended it. They were not busy by any means yet 2 workers walked by us and failed to even acknowledge that we were there or were waiting to be seated.

We only had a quick lunch here. The server was helpful and very pleasant. We had a small meal.. salad and haddock "bites" ... iced tea. Everything was fresh and tasty. We'd return here.

Place has all kinds of potential with its location but looks like someone just decided to go with bare min. as far as atmosphere, menu, and service. Views of lake are very nice!

When In Greenville, you have to eat and drink at the Black Frog. Ask for Lauren. She is the best server ever, always has a smile on her face and takes care of my family very well. Try the Moose Baxxs, or the Nacho's with chili and pulled pork. Actually, everything is great. Love it. Thanks, The Jacobucci's
