We went to the Oxford House for both our 25th and 30th (this year) anniversaries and both times were so pleased with everything. We consider this a "special occasion" restaurant. The setting is in a beautiful inn, in the heart of Fryeburg. The food is outstanding with many different and exciting offerings prepared with very fresh and oftentimes local ingredients.... More

6 months ago I was searching for a fancy restaurant for my 1rst anniversary dinner with my husband. I am very glad I made a reservation early and chose this place! We were greeted with a friendly host, who brought us to the back porch. The scenery was beautiful, music playing softly in the background and a candle light table... More

We stayed at Oxford House Inn and benefited from the great breakfast provided to guests, but we also had dinner the evening before. The food is excellent, and the menu is varied.

We were staying in North Conway at an Inn that didn't offer dinner, so Trip Advisor guided us to the Oxford House, just a short drive away across the border. We were seated on their recently converted back porch, with a picture-window view out onto an astonishingly beautiful panorama of mountains and farm fields, with a perfectly situated willow tree... I've reviewed this restaurant before, but after this last meal, I had to post again. One of the best, most satisfying meals I have ever eaten. Not a wrong step in four courses! The gazpacho was beautifully seasoned, with just enough heat to make it interesting, and the fresh corn melded in so well with the other vegetables that you... More

We have dined here three times for dinner and once for breakfast. The food is excellent--really topnotch. There is a stunning view across fields to the White Mountains in one of the dining areas where they serve breakfast if you stay at the inn. It is simply enchanting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service: excellent, table ready on time. Choice of seating given. Server attentive, not overbearing. All requests met or exceeded. My daughter is allergic to nuts, ingredients double checked. Food: continental with Asian influences. Nice opportunity to add diversity. Thai bisque was not creamy, but delicious and not too spicy. Steak frite better than filet at other restaurants in the area.... More

This is the best meal by far that i have had in New England in the past 2 weeks. Local produce imaginatively presented. I had garlic and onion soup which was delicious and breaded advocado which i have never had followed by tofu and noodles but the tofu was just right. My veggie daughter who does not eat sauce on... Stayed for three nights and was overwhelmed by the hospitality and friendliness of the staff and owners, Jonathon and Natalie Spak. Traveling from South Ga to Maine, I wasn't sure what to expect, but their welcoming attitude and superb breakfast and supper menu stole my heart immediately. David O'Neal Darien, Ga.

Thank you, David, for your kind words. It was our pleasure meeting you and having a chance to visit. Thank you for bringing some of that Georgian sun with you; it's been milder since your stay. We look forward to seeing you again and hope you'll be able to make that trip up at the end of the month. More
